Haydock 7/8/08

3.40 Stevie Thunder 7/2 var 15 pts Been a really solid horse this year, ran an awful lot and possibly at the back of your mind is that he might feel that at one point but up to now in lots of races he has been running well, has had a good strike rate too, winning 4 of them and some in soft ground that should pose no problem at all, run lto was very good in what traditionally is a hot race at the july meet and up just the 1 pound from that fourth place effort that had a few of these behind. 4.10 Boucheron 12/1 var bog 7.5 pts e.w Another decent race and woodcutter appeals a fair bit but this one too has credentials at this trip for me, made an ok if not amazing debut when in third but reversed form with the second then to bolt up afterwards. Won by miles seemingly, indeed 10 lengths and ok it may have been an average enough maiden but its style was impressive, made all and in style showing lots of stamina, after that fahey for some reason dropped her in trip and she never really coped with it lto but today back up in trip again to 14f, an unknown trip but something that on her second run she should get she has claims even though she hasnt raced on something this soft before.

Re: Haydock 7/8/08 Little pushed for time. 3.10 Diego Riviera looked all over the winner at Newbury on soft ground before being collared at the death my Noseda's Myanmar. I know that Noseda thinks a bit of that horse and that should be seen as decent form. Was 9th to Aqlaam on debut - we know hoe good that maiden is and given that the 12th has gone close off 74 and the 19th has won off 66 (I could go on) you have to say that Diego Riviera has every chance off getting a handicap off a mark of 70. Will love the ground and Makin does well here. Strawberry Moon as shown enough to suggest she can be competitive off her 67 mark and seems to act with give. Her time may come soon also. Bonne is sure to appreciate from a more experienced ride today, had looked good when winning two runs ago despite running alone on far rail. That wasn't a great race but will act on the ground and could be ahead of the handicapper. Diego Riviera 40% of stake 8.8 betfair Bonne 40% of stake 11/4 gen Strawberry Moon 20% of stake 8.4 betfair Double stakes F/C and T/C combo.
