I backed Fathsta at York a couple of months ago and he turned in a fantastic performance to win at 20/1 even though he drifted quite bit before the off. The form of that race has worked out okay with 2^nd going on to score off 100 at Newmarket recently. Sylvester Kirk’s colt was then upped 6 lbs and turned out at Epsom, where he was a 4 length second to 103-rated Iquazu falls. The handicapper kept him at 93 for his next run where he looked to win again at York but he was never dangerous. Since then he has contested two decent, big-field, handicaps at Ascot and Newmarket but again has failed to place (although his 8^th at Ascot was better than it seemed as he won only btn 2.75 lengths). He is dropped 1 lb here and although he is yet to win over a mile he will appreciate the ground and should encounter no traffic problems in this field of 9.

Angus Newz – hit trouble in running last weekend when finishing a close 3^rd to Green Manalishi in a listed race at Chester. On previous run had scored back to back in two handicaps off 85 in class 4 and class 3 (like here) races. Has won on both soft and firm ground and low draw could also keep him out of trouble.
