5.45 Given a Choice has plummeted down the weights and it could only be a matter of time until he takes advantage of the generosity of the assessor. He's now rated 70 and has a recent AW win off 73 and a 2nd off 81, also on the AW, to his name in recent runs. On turf he has won off 80 in the past so even though his recent turf form is poor, he could go in again given he's dropped in grade here. Richard Hughes takes over from an apprentice. 20/1. 7.50 Strategic Mission is priced at 8/1 because of a poor run LTO, when he was comprehensively beaten in a decent Ascot handicap. Colony emerged the winner of that race but Paul Cole's colt did not have a trouble free passage and was bumped 2f out. Strategic Mission had previously shown his superiority over that rival when scoring on his handicap debut off a mark of 87, which looks decent form, so giving him another chance here. 8.50 Sonny Parkin - Really loves it round here and all 4 of his career wins have come over CD. Latest of those came off 69, but has won off 73 in the past. Now rated 75 but won easily enough LTO and will go on the ground. Richard Hughes in the saddle is another plus. 9/1

Reasoning	Looks to be running below par right now but he has faced some impossible tasks in races where he is clearly out of his depth. this is a drop in class on a track he likes and it could spark a revival.
