I know it might require more thought but the results should improve, as there are some games that one can almost be sure that there will be under 2.5 goals. However, what I am trying to see, is how the bet fairs across a variety of fixtures. It's easy to say in hindsight, but if I wasn't testing this bet, I would not have bet on Switzerland v Croatia to finish over 2.5 goals. I also thought that England v France was more likely to finish under. I think you make a valid point, but if you think the game will finish under 2.5 goals, will it not be likely to be under corners also? In the end I would be doing far too much analysis, and would still probably end up losing on one of the three legs. I also hate the feeling watching games where I have bet on under goals or corners. I spend the whole game praying that the teams don't shoot, and that the ball doesn't go out for a corner. My gut feel is that this bet will prove most successful on English games (particularly the Premiership). I need to test it out fully though, and losing bets are an important part of that.
