A new wind for Systems and Strategies

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, Having said i would play a more active part in the Systems and Strategies Forum its time for a bit of action. First you should know that all the mods can act in any Forum, we just have our personal preferences. Osesame and I concentrate on S&S and we've done a bit of brainstorming. We've worked out a 3 part plan to improve S&S on the Punters Lounge and would like to have your opinion on it. The plan is this: 1) maintaining comparisons tables 2) guidelines for posting systems 3) a monthly newsletter First we want to drop the Systems League competition. Why ? Well there are plenty competitions about already and a systems competition is always difficult because systems can be so different. We want to keep comparisons tables on the systems being run on the Lounge. 'All time' tables as well as monthly tables using different categories and listed by several criteria like yield, profit, risk. Second, to have a structure that supports the quality of posting systems there should also be some basic guidelines on posting systems. Without basic guidelines you cannot make comparisons and in general using the same guidelines lifts the overall quality of the postings, and that benefits all. Third part would be to create a monthly newsletter based on the results of the systems that ran in the past month. Each month by the end we create a redaction or editorial group and write the newsletter. Anyone can participate, regularly or even just once. What we do with the newsletter is up to us. Some ideas are : presenting 'hot' systems, analysing different staking, having an interview, presenting conclusions and new research, etc... As you can see the three parts are dependend on each other. We would like your views, comments, suggestions, And of course we urge you to post any other suggestions you might have. bigokay.gif

Suggested comparisons tables 1) General overview. An overall informational table listing each active system with all relevant information. 2) Comparisons tables 'all time' - A table in order of Yield - A table in order of Profit - A table in order of Risk 3) Comparisons tables, last month - A table in order of Yield - A table in order of Profit - A table in order of Risk 4) Newcomers. Any new systems that has not yet reached the minimal number of 30 bets. 5) Historical. Same table as general overview but for systems that have completed Each system must have a category listing that can be : Fixed system Strategy system Free-Style system ( see the posting guidelines for details ) We could have comparisons tables for each category, we'll see how things work out.
