Poker Experience?

Hi guys thought i'd start this off with the aim of finding out a bit more about the PL poker players. What game you play, how long been playing and where you play etc.. For myself ive been playing only a few months, a few of us get to together on Sunday nights and play for a few quid. We have just held our own Tournament which was a success, 12 players, 2 tables, top 3 from each table through to final table. We all put it just a tenner and all on the final table got £10 and the winner got £70. Doing it again in Oct.(Texas hold-em) As far as On-line poker goes i play the small multi-table tournaments at Bet365 and Hills, the best ive done so far is 28th out of 250. Still trying to win my first bit of prize money! Still learning but i think experience is the key and the more hands you play the more you pick up. Mainly concentrating on my own hands at the minute, trying to suss out what there worth etc. as far as reading other players and other strategy i think will come in time. Reading Skylansky's book at moment to try and understand more about the other facets of the game. He seems to favour the tight but aggressive game. Will be interested to know the best places to play on-line, i have Bet365, Hills, Laddys, VC, UK Betting, PartyPoker, Betfair and PokerStars all available but have only tried the first two. Any thoughts lads.

Re: Poker Experience? I only play the only game to play - no limit hold em :) Been playing games with mates for a few years now. Used to play mainly cash games but progressed on to tournys more recently. Started playing online about the time the thread below started and done alright out of it so far. Online I play 10 man cash games, occasionally 10 man single table tournys and been playing quite a few multis lately. Play at laddies, bet365 and betfair - mostly betfair recently.
