Re: Royal Ascot - June 17th - June 21st

hope the rain doesn't scupper Ravens Pass chance of least having a decent crack at HTN.
looks like it may not have hit the track as it was a localised flooding & maybe didnt reach ascot as Windsor was dry ! I'd still be on Ravens EW against the fav.

Re: Royal Ascot - June 17th - June 21st ASCOT clerk of the course Chris Stickels expects conditions to be good to firm all round for the opening day of the royal meeting after deciding against further watering on Monday evening. With none of the predicted showers materialising over the weekend, Stickels decided to put 4mm of water on the home straight on Sunday evening before waiting until 6pm on Monday to decide against the need for any further watering. Stickels said: "The ground is good to firm, good in places, but the good patches, which are mainly around Swinley Bottom, are diminishing and with a dry night forecast we should be good to firm all round by Tuesday morning. "I'm happy that the water we put on the track on Sunday night has helped to keep us where we want to be." The Met Office forecast for showers at the Berkshiretrack has proved unfounded in recent days but conditions are expected to deteriorate from Wednesday onwards. "Tuesday will be bright and sunny but there remains a small risk of showers. Conditions will however turn very wet from Wednesday onwards withheavy and persistent rainfall moving in for the remainder of the week," a spokeswoman said
