WoodyTHFC
Re: Curragh ~ Saturday 24th 3.10 Myboycharlie 10/11 var bog 15 pts Nice horse last year, one of the better 2 year olds, nice wins in ire and then in france beating natgora in the race that got fallon banned, that was over this trip which suggests this is not a real problem and after that when increased in trip in national satkes may not have truly got home but still ran well enough proving it doesnt have to have cut. Looks the class act. 3.45 No bet. On this ground henrythenavigator may well be favoured and should come on for his first run this year in the guineas. However New Approach only just went down in the end at hq and although crying out for further imo, he may just come on for that first run as well and arguably only needs to produce his two year old form. Jupiter Pluvius could be a sprinter. 4.20 Tis Mighty 13/2 var bog 7.5 pts e.w Put this up a few times, as bits of form from last year stand up really well, ran ok at times this season in lincoln and behind impressive tian shan, lto stayed on quite strongly and still not that badly handicapped, kinane interesting booking. The Sand King
Re: Curragh ~ Saturday 24th I noticed Famous Name has been pulled out of the Guineas. I've heard a few good reports about this colt, and apparently he has really trained on and will be seen to best effect on gd-sft at around 1m 2f. Apparently he has turned into a bull of a colt, but his action is very rounded and will not be risked on anything firmer than good anymore. His defeat to Jupitor Pluvius last term was solely due to the 7f being inadequate, his poor performance previous to that against New Approach and Henry the Navigator was again due to a little inexperience on ground that again was too quick. His reappearence this season at Naas over a mile showed what he was all about. Although he beat nothing that day, the manner of the victory showed the kind of gear change and power the colt has now developed. Watch out for him over 1m + on ground with a bit of give.
