6.40 2 year old maiden stakes, Tishtar drops in trip and is the favourite after a decent enough debut but the newcomers could be anything so I'm taking that one on at evens. Mick Channon's runner Mesyall could get involved as its related to winning sprinter Rowaasi and trainer has had a couple of 2 yo winners of late, but that one too is quite short priced at 2/1 so for me its a no bet with no previous form to go by. Of the remainder the one that may be worth a gamble at the price is Short Cut, a half brother to winning sprinter Lincolneurocruiser. Sylvester Kirk has been banging in quite a few winners of late, had a 19 % strike rate with 2 yo's last year, and it is drawn on the rail too. 20/1 EW. 8.10 Orange Pip represents an inform yard and was only beaten by 1 length over course and distance earlier this month. She handled firm ground on her debut and should go well again for Richard Hughes. 2/1.
