BillyHills
520 Kelso : Nelson Du Ronceray EW Going to take a chance here becuase i'm not sure the stable are in the best form of their life at the moment. Won a couple of novice hurdles last season and was given a fairly harsh rating of 118 which has proved beyond him. Came out and won a Novice Chase to show he retains all the ability and has since ran well at this track over hurdles and then contested a hot race at the Perth festival, finished well down the field that day but remember thinking during the race it was going well and the young rider eased the horse when all chance had gone two out. Timmy Murphy is back on top today who no doubt gets the best tune out of this animal. All the defeats have resulted in the rating dropping to 110 which is more realistic and maybe the connections think theres one more handicap in this horse before going chasing again. The opposition are a mixed bunch but many high in the handicap for what they have achieved and the race looks wide open so at 12/1 this looks a fair EW bet. Two other horses that catch the eye at Kelso for EW purposes are Heez A Steel in the first, looks a bet to nothing, likes the track, the going and the young kid on board takes a handy 10lb off his back. Beau Largesse in the 320 has the same sort of profile, been running very well and also has a 10lb claimer riding, at 8/1 looks a solid EW bet. mileni4uk
Re: Kelso ~ Tuesday 4.20 - Kyalami Returned to action after 2 years absence and finished a promising 4th. 2lbs down in the weights + 5lbs claimer will be very handy today. Trainer had some winners and placers lately and this unexposed horse can run a big race. I have no doubts about the staying ability over 3m4f. He had a place at Cheltenham over 3m1f and latest effort over 2m6f was only for fitness. Will come a lot for this run and can beat all these exposed types, who are on form, but almost every one of them has gone up in the weights. He may fail big time, but if he has improved after latest run he will be up there challanging in the final furlongs. Worth a go at 9/1.
