Favourite / Least favourite jockeys...

Recommended Posts

Carrying on from a post I made in Billy's thread... Who are your favourite/least favourite jockeys nowadays. I (generally) do like Spencer. I know many don't, but when I have been with him he has done the business. I can see why people get frustrated with him, but the way he rides horses leaves so little room for error. I also have alot of time for Callan, Dwyer and Moore. :ok:ok:ok As a claimer - I like Tolley Dean. Seems to know what moves to make, and although he is pretty young, seems to have his head screwed on. As for my least favourite - Dean McKeown gets my vote every day. He often rides Desert Light, and ALWAYS leaves him with a mountain to climb - if only I could influence jockey bookings. :@:@:@

Re: Favourite / Least favourite jockeys... This is one aspect I do not pay much attention to personally. No idea why, but I look at the form and know about how the top jocks like to ride etc. Just not something I put major significance on when selecting a horse. I like Holland as a jock though, and as you say Alex, I like Dean as a young one. Problem is with jockeys is sometimes you get a crap price from the bookies based on this factor, and sometimes its best to go against this imo rather than for it
