Re: Plumpton 23/03/08 3-35 Plumpton LAY Najca Da Thaix Having previously beaten Carly Bay and Forfeiter in a handicap hurdle at Folkestone in January, he then beat Carly Bay here in a handicap chase two weeks ago and the form looks solid enough. I am left wondering why these two are prepared to take him on again. He opened at 2.48 on Betfair last night, but despite the form and a few quid being put on him, he slowly drifted to 2.87, but is now back to 2.66. Forfeiters price has been up and down like a nancy boys trousers but remains on 4.2, while Carly Bay is drifting like a barge even though Johnson is back on board while his previous rider, Jacob, is now on the rag. I have no idea where Richard Johnson lives, but to traipse down to Plumpton on a cold and miserable Bank Holiday for just three rides must have its merits. Perhpas he's going to adopt different tactics on Carly Bay, like carry the horse for a change. Anyway, at the price and it can't do a lot of damage if it wins. Youi can blame Mrs CM for this long post. She's in the hall with a vacuum cleaner and I can't get past to get out to the garden for a cigar.
