6.50 Rapid City 1 pt win Comes back off a long break so that is a potential concern especially as it has nothing to note first up but a very interesting runner no doubt. Looked progressive on the a/w last year including the odd unlucky second and also a few wins, its second behind Mighty reads quite well as that horse went onto be racing in Group 1s and being placed in Group 2s and Group 3s. Even its last run on the a/w at Kemp looks better now as there was a few in there who went onto better things. Lto on turf it finished well from a poor draw and a slightly inadequte trip in a hot Newb. handicap. Meets some rivals who maybe sharper but even so a horse maybe to follow this term form a long break.

For me it was a horse to follow last season after his win on his British debut. More than paid his way, his only 'poor' runs were his last two as you've mentioned above. The key to this horse is trip, those last two runs were over an inadequate mile and like you say they wasn't as bad as they first looked. Despite the trip there was too much made of him early at Kempton and his draw was poor at Newbury. Over 9/10f his form read 11212 and he would've been unbeaten but for a terrible ride and then running into Mighty who was running off 78! Obviously had a problem after that and the absence is a worry, he hasn't run fresh since his career debut! Jockey booking worries me too. Definetly one to keep an eye on this year - I'll be looking with interest to see how he looks/runs tonight.
