Question for the flat boffins

Recommended Posts

In recent years, I have struggled throughout the flat turf season, so for that reason I am asking the flat boffs for some help. What do you guys look at first when looking at a race, is it the draw, the form (class, distance etc) or the going? How do you go about analysing the races and do you let the big name trainers effect who you back? Basically looking for the process you go through when looking at the race and how highly you rate each factor. For some reason I seem to do ok over the sticks but its on the flat I struggle. Obviously everyone has different methods but the help is appreciated. I think RussP, mowgli etc are away in Newcastle right now so they will be able to give replies hopefully when they come back, but if anyone can give their views I would appreciate it. Cheers :ok

Re: Question for the flat boffins Stewart I am not over brill on anything but I am SURE YOU KNOW, that first and foremost is the going. I hear this mentioned most times on sports live radio, always make sure you check that the horse acts on the going. Alsi i am sure its in one of the sticky's about the draw factor on certain courses
