Re: Sedgefield 26/12 A trainer I always keep my eye open for is Tom Tate. He has been somewhat unfortunate recently as every time he has a horse entered the meeting ends up being off!! He is someone who has his favourite courses (especially Newcastle) and, although he has only had eight runners in the last five years at Sedgefield, he has won one out of two here. the likely favbourite, Auroras Encore, won its last race by 17l, but the fav pulled up and 5 of the 14 runners were priced at 100/1 or more. Tate's Charlie Crab is paper second fav at roughly 7/2 and, at the price, is a definite pick for me. A bumper winner on fast ground, Tate is wasting no time in stepping the gelding up in trip for its first run over hurdles. At the price a definite bet for me.
