Anyway, still think this bet is good down to 1.70. Södertälje - Djurgården u. 5.5 goals @ 1.84 (Pinnacle) This bet is so obvious that I almost get a bda feeling about it...Djurgården with the best defence in Elitserien, they have allowed 21 goals in 11 matches, vs Södertälje, who have scored 16 goals and allowed 24 in 11 matches. Södertälje the most inefficient team, scores from 5.59 % of their shots totally 286, Djurgården the most efficient team, scores from 12.12 % of their shots, but on the other hand they have only shot 264 shots, 2nd lowest after Mora. Södertälje's goalkeeper Enroth have the best savings % in Elitserien, 93.48, Djurgården's Larsson at 2nd place with 93.14 %. Södertäljes last four matches have ended under, 4/5 of Djurgårdens latest under, 8/11 of Södertäljes matches under, 7/11 of Djurgårdens matches under. Let's hope that both teams goalies keep their great form, that Djurgården keep shooting realtively few shots and that Södertälje still will find it hard to score. the result this Saturday was 1-1 between these two teams, I would not be surprised if this match ended the same way. G:G
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) Modo -1 @ 1.74 (Bet365) Time for Modo to get a win now, they can't keep underperfoming, and this should be a good time to wake up. Skelelfteå without forward Renberg and with 2nd goalkeeper Dahlberg in this match. Skellefteå have done really well so far, but it has to end at some point, they are after all a weaker team and usually shaky on the road. expert
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) EBEL league 23.10.2007 EC Red Bull Salzburg v HC TWK Innsbruck over 6.5 @ 1.81 This one should be easy. if anything is easy in hockey. Red bulls are back, that is definite now, latest win vs Olimpija proves that the main fav for the title is back in contention after, for their standards very quiet start. Scoring shouldnt be a problem here as teams are: RSB: 4/6 over; Innsbruck: 5/6 over h2h last season 6/7 overs everything speak over way, and the odds are nice and ill take them. HK Acroni Jesenice v EHC LIWEST Linz over 6.5 @ 1.95 This one looks to be a cracker. Imo the result is quite impossible to determine as they both play well and historical h2h shows that they can both win on others ice. but the scoring mania of both teams, maybe also last game of Jesenice in which they allowed three goals in last third after leading 4-1, could show the path to their goal. Linz in scoring mania and again with 2nd goalie, so imo small advantaage to jesenice there, but still Linz can score and as mentioned in weeked pick Jesenice just signed new attacker, who brings wealth of experience and also good record. Imo, despite high line this one is worth as shot, alst 4/5 in Mežakla went over this total. German DEL Iserlohn Roosters - DEG Metro Stars over 6 @ 1.83 Why this bet, quite simply Iserlohn is in scoring mania, in last four games they scored 20 goals, in every match 5 of them and if looking further they havent scored less than 3 goals in last 10 games and more, looking at totals, if we would have put a bet on over 6 goals on them, only one would have lost, but there will be 5 void bets and 4 winners. Other thing is DEG, before weeken they had some under games, but again reached 6 goals in last one, with last gamevagainst Iserlohn offering 11 goals with ft result 7-4. So scoring frenzy Iserlohn with not the best defence is the main edge for this one.
Bamse81
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) The small bet on HV71 is down the drain. They shoot more than FBK but the big problem is that they're taking faaaar too many penalties in this game.. 3 goals by FBK scored in power play. The main bet on the under looks good though :ok :hope
Bamse81
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) Frölunda - Brynäs (23/10) The home team are in great nick with 22 pts so far and right up there among the top teams in the series. Their game at home has been flawless with 5 wins and only 1 loss so far. They're pretty known for their great hockey at home in Scandinavium and now that they're good on the road they'll be very hard to stop. The new goalie Ari Ahonen is a great catch and one of the best goalies in the series (and the competition is actually pretty tough these days). In the last 7 games we see 5 wins, 1 loss and one loss in OT away to strong Timrå. The last home games have been great with wins over MODO, Färjestad (5-0) and 4-2 win against Södertälje. The very last home game was a narrow 2-3 loss against Timrå but we are bound for a bounce-back by Frölunda in this game. This game against Brynäs is a back-to-back game since they met on Saturday when Brynäs got hammered 5-1 in their own arena. Brynäs is a team in crisis. They played well in the first three games or so but after that it's been all down-hill for the team from Gävle. The coach's much talked about rotation-system has faced alot of criticism and in hindsight it hasn't worked very well. Also putting some of his best on the bench has been a bad move even though guys like Pavel Brendl can misbehave quite often. After 8 losses out of 11 games (and 8 losses in the last 9) they have fired coach Boork today since they desperately need a break. A new coach hasn't been announced yet so Boork will probably coach tomorrow as well. This coach is very well-known in Sweden and I'm not so sure the players want him out, it was more a mutual decision taken by the coach and board. Might also add that historically Frölunda has had a record against Brynäs. Up until last year they hadn't lost a game in 18 rounds or so if I remember correctly. Brynäs is really bad right now and the worst team in Sweden. Frölunda on the other hand has some of the best form in the league and are probably the best team. This is not an easy league to predict but I still think that Frölunda will win by two or more in this match-up. Only hubris can stop them IMO. Two great goalies, one home team thats really tight at home and one away team with the best defensive in Elitserien. Strange that the bookies didn't catch on here but I hope the odds on unders will continue to be worth betting on. Speaking of unders I think that Luleå-Timrå might be worth a punt tomorrow. G:G
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) Agreeing with Bamse here. Frölunda -1 (E.H.) @ 2.05 (Nordicbet) Brynäs fired their headcoach Boork today, but I don't think this will have a great influence on them in this match already. Frölunda won away 5-1, Brynäs fell right back in the pit again after the 4-0 win vs Timrå, so things still look very tough for them, they can't get their game to work. Frölunda even stronger at home, play with lots of confidence and a goalkeeper, Ahonen, that has been on fire lately. I clearly favour Frölunda, and over evens for this line must be tried. Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) Spartak to win first period (2.15 @ Bet365) I'm not sure what to think of Omsk any more. They had a disastrous start, improved a bit later on, but obviously didn't improve enough to beat Spartak in last round. OK, Spartak is playing better when away, but they are still bottom league team. Spartak didn't lose first period in last 8 matches. They have lost two first periods in 8 home matches (their first period stats are even better away, but I missed this bet in last round:spank). Omsk didn't win first period in last 7 matches. They lost first periods in last 3 away matches with goal difference 0-5. Spartak first periods at home: 8 played, 3wins, 3draws and 2 losses, goal difference: 8-3 Omsk first periods away: 10 played, 1 win, 3 draws and 6 losses, goal difference: 4-11 It seems that the worst case scenario would be a draw (by looking at stats). This was definitely better bet to make in last round, when Spartak was away (since they are better away than at home), but there is still some value in this bet. Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) Cherepovec - Yaroslavl Under 5 (2.05 @ Bet365) I didn't make a lot of bets which were based purely on statistics lately, but I'll try this one. In 8 home matches, Cherepovec had only once game total above 5 (and once exactly 5). In fact, in 19 rounds they have only 4 matches over 5. Yaroslavl played 'over' more frequently, but not in last 4 matches. Since 2000, they have played 11 H2Hs at Cherepovec and only twice went 'over 5' (last time in November 2003). It seems silly to make a bet based on stats only, but I made sillier bets than this. So I'll try this one, also.
Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) Martin to win (2.65 @ Bet365) Zilina hit the rough patch. They haven't won in last 5 rounds and previous 3 wins were against 3 bottom teams (Slovakia 20, Liptovsky and Nitra). Martin is having really good season. The only problem is that they occasionally underachieve at home. But they compensate it well when away. They have won 3 out of last 4 away matches (only loss was to top team Poprad). This is traditionally tough match and will get very emotional. OT is not unlikely, but I'll try Martin with smallish stakes.
Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) I'm really tempted to try Liptovsky at 3.10. They are starting to play better at home and they didn't lose in last 5 home matches. But I'm warned by the fact that Kosice were great in last 3 matches (all at home). I'll probably skip this. expert
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) Polish league MKS Cracovia - Unia Oswiecim Unia Oswiecim +6 @ 1.95 Well i dont know crap about this league, but imo bookies are overrating the Cracow team and giving the worst team 6 goal advantage seems too much. OK, the look on the stats can be found here: http://www.betexplorer.com/hockey/poland/polish-hockey-league-2007-2008/nextmatch.php?matchid=6260803 So why this one, Cracovia a defensive team and they dont score a lot and they even didnt cross the 3 goals per match in last 7 occasions. Unia had some terrible games, but overall they are holding pretty well for the worst team in the league. and if we would have bet one that spread on all their this years league games only 3 would have lost. h2h: in 17 games those two played only once this bet would have lost and only this years h2h finished in a draw. btw: happy for the pinny limits in this case, no cojones for a bigger bet. Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) Trappers - Tijgers Over 6.5 (1.88 @ 10bet) I'll try this with small stakes. The season in Netherlands is warming up. They are playing Cup matches at the moment (I think it's Cup, as I don' t understand a thing they say). Both Trappers and Tigers have 4 wins in 4 matches so far. Grizzlies - Trappers 1:9 Trappers - Den Haag 5:3 Trappers - Heerenveen 7:3 Geleen - Trappers 1:3 Tijgers - Heerenveen 5:4 Tijgers - Geelen 6:3 Grizzlies - Tijgers 2:11 Tijgers - Devils 3:1 In Super Cup match, Trappers and Tijgers met and Trappers won 5:4. By looking at the results, this league reminds me of French league to some extent: a lot of goals and game totals over 10. Of 16 matches played since the beginning of October, only 4 of them stayed under 6.5. Trappers and Tijgers are obviously of equal capabilities and this could be tight match and for that reason there could be goal deficiency, but French hockey thought me that these leagues have poor defences. Eredivisie should be checked regularly for 'over' market, that's for sure.
Bamse81
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) Loads of games today :) Luleå - Timrå In this game I will go for the under 5.5 as I have mentioned before. Luleå are a solid home team and play with more discipline at home. Timrå is perhaps the only team that can match Djurgårdens defensive but I think that Timrå plays even more disciplined and fights as a team. In the last game at home against Luleå they won 1-0 and this is enough with the type of tight hockey they play. *In the last 10 games Timrå have 9 games going under 5.5. *In the last 10 games Luleå have 6 games going under 5.5. Luleå have some games going well over 5.5 as for example the game against Färjestad which finished 6-4 but Timrå have no trouble with defense or goalie like the team from Karlstad. This game will be more like the game between Luleå and Södertälje since Södertäljes defensive can well be compared with Timrås (even though I feel that Timrås defense is even tighter). I expect Timrå to play like a team, wait for their chances, and let the Finnish snipers score a goal or two. 1-2 FT? Under 5.5 @ 1.87 PaddyPower Worth betting on down to 1.7 IMO
Svart
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) Russian Superligue Amur vs. Vytaz Total under [email protected] the las game was 2-1 today will be the same fight between bottom teams. I expect also draw after 60 min. (small stake).
Canadian_boy
This could be a good bet, because 3rd goalie from Zilina will play today (first and second goalie are injured). Second goalie for this match will be junior Beno. Next injured player in Zilina is key defender Chromy. In Martin is first goalie Czech player Lakosil. He played in Trinec few years ago, and he is good and skilled goalie. Both teams have good form, but I think Martin is good value pick
G:G
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) Vienna @ 1.80 (Nordicbet) This bet is basically about backing the in form team, Vienna with four wins in a row, at home: 5-1-0 31-15, totally 8-3-0 as their only loss so far came after o.t. vs VSV, so a bit of revenge factor here too. Vienna looks very strong so fa this season, no doubt. No new injury problems for Vienna, Fairchild was questionable after he got injured vs Alba Volan last match, but he is ready to play. VSV have started shaky, placed 7th with 3-4-4, away 0-2-3, no win last five matches. A worrying fact for this bet might be that Vienna has a really bad record vs VSV, lost last five h2h's, two of them at home. I choose to look away from that though, this is a new season, and Vienna should put a stop to this bad streak now, 1.80 looks tasty considering stats imo. christiano
I wouldn't touch that at all. This match can easilly end 10:2 for example. The only thing is how Cracovia will treat this match. If they want they can win it with a huge goal difference. The main factor is their motivation here.Unia is not the same team as in the previous seasons so previous meetings don't mean a damn thing.Last season was not good for them at all and this is much much worse.I don't know accurate number but average age in Unia is something about 21 or so.Team is consisting of young unexperienced players whose abilities are rather poor. They are no match for any team in this league. They can ocassionaly have good performances but that's all.Cracovia is at least two classes above them and it's up to them if they will want to win this by 7 goals difference or no.Pure lottery :)
Svart
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues: (22-23/10) Russian Superligue Metalurg Novokuznetsk vs. Sibir Sibir won last meeting 4-2 but stay the worst away team to score and win. Contrary Metalurg rather agressive at home and will try to get a win. Novokuznetsk [email protected] Severtstal vs. Lokomotiv Lokomotiv continues its winnig stright with lowscorring tough games but keep playing for result. Sevartstal despite good start begins slowly fizzle out. [email protected] also under [email protected] Spartak M. vs. Avangard Two low scorring teams, moreover last match Avangard lost at home 3-1. Here I like olso under [email protected] and still belive Spartak could win on home ground good value 2.
