GraemeR
I don't know if anyone out there has been following this tourney. I've been keeping an eye on it but haven't seen any games involving the teams involved in Saturday's matches: 31/7/04 Quarter finals 11:00 Japan v Jordan 14:00 Korea Republic v Iran At first glance a win for Japan may be expected. However, their results in the group stage (0-0 v Iran, 4-1 v Thailand and 1-0 win over Oman) were not spectacular. Jordan have yet to concede a goal in this tournament (0-0 v UAE, 2-0 v Kuwait, 0-0 South Korea). I am still tempted to back Japan or lay Jordan. On the Asian Cup Homepage the Jordan players are reported to be "exhausted" but confident. Has anyone seen either of the two teams in action in this tournament? Opinions on the second match are welcome as well. For me this is a no bet though, without further info.
Guest themenet
Re: Asian Cup Semi Finals: Bahrain vs Japan 4.30 3.25 1.77 China vs Iran 2.00 3.15 3.45 (odds are from gamebookers) I live in Asia so I get little more news on this tournament from the local newspapers. In fact, though I am a Chinese, I think China is not a strong team which can enter semi finals. I think their quality is just about the same as Iraq's and 3:0 is not really reflect the whole match. The macth was very boring and China only had a bit luck and help from referees to get 3 goals which 2 are from P.K. . Although Iran have only 2 days to rest compared with 3 days for China, but i think it doesn't matter. The history clearly show that Iran is a better team than China which Iran win for 10 out of 19. My bet: Iran with a draw saver PS: sorry for my bad english :eek
