Saturn are renowned draw specialists and you cannot afford to bet them in virtually any game unless you take out some sort of cover in the case of an all square match. They are a good team but do have a habit of ending level with so many teams that its sometimes unreal. Today they face a tough match against in form Amkar and I’m not so sure they will get the 3 points. Saturn are a good home team but as I already said, they don’t win enough fixtures despite being tough to defeat. To be honest I expected much more generous odds on them here and instead the best price you will find is around the evens mark. Amkar have only lost 3 matches this season and I think its time more people actually gave them extra respect. They are in the middle of an excellent unbeaten run and they have also won their last 2 away games producing some good performances in the process. I really do think this match will end in a draw, probably 1-1 or maybe 0-0. Either way, odds of 1.91 on the +0.5 AH are very nice indeed offered by pinnacle. I’m never that comfortable taking away sides in any football games but I am forced into staking 2/10 here and I think there’s a good chance Amkar will avoid defeat. Loko are a team who I rated very highly earlier in the season and they produced some good performances getting many positive results. But now it must be said that they are in a huge mess and in a nightmare run of results. In the league they have suffered 3 consecutive defeats, 2 of them very convincing in which they produced horrific defensive performances. Things got even worse for the capital club in midweek where they went out of the cup to the hands of lower league opposition. The pressure is severely on everyone and the last thing they want is a match against KS who are in good form. They will travel here very confident after their excellent 1-0 win against CSKA last week and will beleive they can get something out of this encounter. They are rarely beaten and I simply must take their odds of 2.13 on the +0.5 AH. Bookies are overestimating Loko here IMO when it actual fact I’d say KS are perhaps more likely to win this game. Loko have the ability overall, but no confidence, also a few injuries which wont help. I think you’d have to be mad to bet them here and the right way is to side with the visitors. At the end of the day they are one of the weakest in the division, possible the very worst at the end of the day. I think overall they will go down but they cant be completely underestimated, especially at home. They are a team who have shown good fight in recent weeks obtaining some decent results such as the 2-2 in Moscow and nearly causing an upset in Zenit last week. They do sit in the relegation zone and no win in 5 games, but have only suffered 1 defeat on their own patch so far. Luch will travel here confident, but as ever, you’d have to be a crazy man to consider betting the Vladivostok side when they play away from home. They will of course have to travel many miles by plane to get here and they could be forgiven for being a little less sharp than normal. This is traditional and something that accepted by them that away from home they will never be a storing force. Apart from the victory over Saturn earlier on in the season they have slumped to 3 consecutive defeats on the road and I expect them to do the same again. Nalchik aren’t the best of teams, but they should be able to have enough in the tank to get the points IMO. Odds of 1.84 on the AH line look pretty good to me and worth 3/10 stakes. Of course in any Russian game there is the risk of a draw so this is a nice little cover in case of an all square game. The draw is a worry though as both teams come into this after having played a cup game midweek. I'm still leaning towards Loko in this and I think 5/6 is a decent price. They could well have chosen to travel on to Nalchick afterwards, in which case the journey would have been halved and they'd have had more time to get over the travel. I can understand youre reasoning for this bet,last week 4-2 win by TOMSK did many of us a favour,but in fairness it was a flattering scoreline,though im not complaining,at times Loko had us on the ropes.They are in a bad run at the moment,u have to go back 7 league games for a win,but traditionally they are one of the leagues strong teams and maybe a win is due.KS win over cska may not be that exciting as at the moment cska are rather toothless with their missing players. The promoted team have certainly caught my eye this season with some decent displays against good opponents, especially here at home. They come into this match having suffered just 1 defeat in their last 8 and will be confident of obtaining at least a draw against Tom. The visitors are also a pretty good team these days and cant be underestimated. Traditionally they are only a strong home team but have proved they can also pick up points on the road recently. This game could easily end a draw but the value is on the straight win line @ 2.48. I’ll give this 2/10 small stakes and I certainly believe that Khimki are capable of getting the business done. It will be tight and not easy but I can just see a 1-0 or perhaps 2-1. Match: Rubin v Dinamo Moscow Date: 1/7/07 Time: 17:00 cet Reccomended Bet: Rubin straight win @ 2.70 Betchance 2/10 Typical Russian match here IMO between a good home team and often a poor away one. Rubin in front of their own fans are capable of beating anyone in this division and have proven their capabilities by picking up some nice victories. Sadly their away form has been generally poor but they managed to get a 1-0 win in Kuban last week which would’ve given them some more confidence. They are now up to 10th placed in a congested table and hopeful of getting all 3 points against Dinamo today. The visitors have been a surprise factor this season and I still don’t believe they can be trusted fully, especially away from home. This will be a tough test for them today and one which they could fail. My bet will be Rubin on the straight win @ 2.70, simply because is it more value than any (0) AH line @ around the 1.75 mark. Khimki I agree with you Meatman, are playing some decent stuff this season, many old Spartak players involved who shouldn't be underestimated, at 2.00 on -0.25 AH with bet365 again, they get small interest from me. GL everyone Also considering Dynamo Moscow away, I think they look a tasty price and the win away in Krasnodar makes me think about it.
