Thought we hadn't had one of these OFC freerolls for a while so had a look on site and found this. Seem to remember someone mentioning this site in a previous post. (It would be the 'cake' which sticks in my memory ;) ) Don't think I'll be playing, but I know some of you go cold turkey if you don't download a new site every week. cakeOFCfinal_copy.jpg ADDITIONAL BONUS PRIZES SPONSORED BY: cac2006-logo.gif 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Place each win a bonus prize trip to Montreal, Canada! Doutb it, checked through BA and it'd cost me ~E900 to just get there and back. But i wanted to go there this summer anyway so it would be a welcome deduction from expenses if i won :nana. Looking at the prize it says it's valued at $1,5k, $1k expenses so does that mean it costs $500 for a pass to the show? Sounds a bit steep...

Re: Online Forum Challenge - Cake Poker Have to be honest - no longer a fan of OFC - they had a series a little while ago, IIRC with a WSOP package added - but some of the detail was unclear (to me anyway) so I sought clarification from them before posting .... couldn't even get a reply from them.... Their focus is far too US Centric (in terms of scheduling, where they play and the expenses they offer in the prizes to get there). I also do not like the way the scoring is structured - it's far too heavily based on numbers and not a lot to do with performance. We have little chance of a worthwhile forum prize (and to be honest the forum prizes are pretty poor anyway - if a poker room came to us offering a $200 freeroll with no strings attached - we wouldn't take it as YOU are worth more than that - yet that is all you get for WINNING the event) ...... The individual prizes are better though :ok However as there seems some demand for it, I will add it to the diary :ok
