Deciding on the Draw ?

Can someone tell me how the draw is compiled please? I imagine it is random due to the varying degrees of biasedness but I may be wrong. Thanks in advance !

Re: Deciding on the Draw ? Haitch, your quite right. The draw is made by the 'Racing Calendar Office' and is like a ballot, randomly drawn, maybe computer generated these days. Just been looking at the rules of racing, if you have a spare couple of hours its quite interesting http://www.thehra.org/doc.php?id=44652 In the chapter regarding riding expenses it states a Flat jockey shall recieve £92.65 +vat for each ride and over the jumps or NH Flat they get £126.52 + vat, i think its standard that they also recieve 10% of any prize money too.
