lunatism
SportFootball (Singapore S-League) EventGombak United v Korean Super Reds SelectionGombak United Strength10/10 Date06/06/2007 Bookmaker/PriceBetandWin @ 1.15 (Back) ReasoningVery short odds for this fixture, and with good reason too. Gombak are a good team with aspirations of a top five finish after securing their first season in the top flight with a solid mid table finish. And they face newly promoted Korean Super Reds, who on initial impressions are clearly a couple of classes below their opposition. Although the Super Reds have managed to pick up a few points so far this season, those have been against mediocre teams such as Geylang United and Sengkang Punggol. Whenever they have come up against a side of quality (and not even that sometimes), they get turned over. Scorelines of 3-0, 4-0, 5-0, 4-1 and 5-1 have been commonplace for them this season. In 6 away games this season, the Super Reds have conceded a fantastic 21 goals and only scored 4. That's relegation form, and that is why they sit already 5 points adrfit of their closest team Liaoning Guangyuan, who do have a game in hand. To end there would suffice as enough evidence has been given to suggest a strong home win is on the cards, but there is more - the two teams have already played once this season. And in the reversal of the fixture, Gombak came away with a 3-1 victory. In their last 3 home games Gombak have scored 10, and conceded 2, while in their las 3 the Super Reds have scored 2 and conceded 10! Quite the reversal, and expect a high scoring match as the home side pile on the pressure and aim to move up the table with a confident display over divisional minnows. Prediction: 4-
lunatism
Re: Singapore S-League (Wednesday 6th June) HT - Gombak United 2 - 0 Korean Super Reds This game looks as good as over, the home side have hardly given their opponents a look in edgeways, and the 4-0 I predicted is still on course. In fact, it may be worth noting that in their last 6 league games, 69% of Gombak United's goals have come in the second half. This suggests that 4-0 is the minimal result we should be expecting from this match! :hope Let's see what happens......
lunatism
Re: Singapore S-League (Wednesday 6th June) GOMBAK UNITED 6 - 1 Koren Super Reds :nana :nana :nana Fantastic!!! Not quite the spot on prediction I would have liked, but the right winner and 4-0 sounds a little like 6-1, right?!! But this 6-1 scoreline could of and perhaps should have been much much more. The home side were dominant from start to finish and the away sides performance was one to forget - their lack of fight was shocking, and their only goal came from perhaps overcelebrating by the home team, who were at the time winning 5-0. An impressive victory for Gombak has seen them leapfrog Armed Forces FC into third place. They will now look to maintain their home form and improve they away form to stand a realistic chance of having silverware come the end of the season. Unbelievable
Re: Singapore S-League (Wednesday 6th June) Great pick there! I'll also following this league closely, seems like not much surprise when top 3 teams playing against lower league teams, good thing when giving goals (asian handicap)
