Re: King Of Clubs Torni to hit Rileys Snooker Got my first taste if this last night. Can't fault the set-up but the standard of play... :eek Got very concerned just when the game was about to start and the guy to my right told me I was on the small blind and he put the big blind in! Needless to say he didn't last and we lost 3 players early doors from our table. I went 18th ish after being left mortally wounded holding QQ up against KAs. The local pro was playing and was kicking-up over the rules about announcing raises. He had a dig at the tournament director and Rileys themselves saying that if they're going to run these things then they really should get this sorted. Our club seems to attract an average of 33/34 players on a Sunday night. Haven't been along on a Thursday yet but will no doubt give it a bash later on. The tables look as though they're available for anyone to play on at any time they like. Was surprised how quickly the game went. We were down to the last 4 after just 3 hours play. Perhaps a reflection on the standard? :lol

Its funny when the local pro comes down to riley's all high and mighty like that, they have tried it at ours and been told to shut up moaning. They dont like it when the shoe is on the other foot, just cos they can be cocky grumpy poker players and bully new players at a casino they think they can do it at rileys where most people have hardly played before and tend to drink more than care.

Re: King Of Clubs Torni to hit Rileys Snooker the only local pro i have seen down at castleford is rosco :lol ! It might be a poor standard of play but a lot of fun, and alot of mistake do happen but who cares as long as people are learning the wonderful game, we had a woman fold her BB pre flop last to no raise (bless).

Re: King Of Clubs Torni to hit Rileys Snooker Been 3 times now and the best I've managed is 7th. Ours is turning into a bit of a crap shoot. Blinds used to start at 50/100 with a starting stack of 5000 but it's now 100/200 with 5000! The most our hall can take is 36 and they had to turn people away on Sunday night. They were understaffed on Sunday past too which didn't help.
