Problems in Turkey with the govt.

GaF asked me about the situation in my country so I thought I'd explain it here. The casinos were already closed long ago because of the mafia, etc. But online gambling were always allowed. This was until the first local bookie, "Iddaa" were started by the govt. Iddaa is a terrible bookie, which is designed only to take money of the Turkish gambling addicts. It even doesn' say anything against gambling like the other sites do in their index pages. It's commercials are like "the ones who bet, always win" etc. Let me explain iddaa a bit. You have to combine 3 or 4 matches at least to be able to put money. Can't bet on a single game. This is the main reason for losing of course since you can't win on the long run unless you know the results. Also the odds are really terrible. As I said, it's only designed to take money of the Turkish gamling addicts, who doesn't actually know about betting like we do. So, people were still playing online gamling, but there were still sufficient amount of people who played with iddaa (45% of the Iddaa is owned by a Greek company by the way). But they stopped online gambling to make more money of course by the real addicts, but we as real gamblers don't play with the iddaa of course so their move was useless IMO. They were advertising the new rule as if you gamble online, you will end up in jail, pay fines, etc. But when I read the law, it only said that the ones that are helping us gamble will be punished, like the bookies and the banks of course. So most of the bookies cut their relationship with Turkey while our internet provider also blocked some sites such as betfair. There is one or two sites who still fightback and continue their relationship with Turkey such as Sportingbet (named Superbahis in Turkey), and some other trash sites. So I'm now only playing poker in Sportingbet (boss network) and I stopped betting because the odds are trash in the site. I guess they can fightback because they seem like a normal company in London not a betting company, so I can withdraw my cash without problems. that's all sorry if I bored ya.:lol
