BillyHills Posted January 29, 2007 Share Posted January 29, 2007 Re: Ludlow 29/01 4.00 Ludlow : Perfect Storm (8/1) Interesting runner for Hobbs/Johnson combo, had a long lay off and looks to have been difficult to get fully fit, looked in need of run both times this season, was made fav for one so the vibes were good. Ran 6th last time without getting in a blow, will prefer this surface and track and if you look back at one of his runs before the lay off he was 2nd behind Noble Request and not too far behind at that, rated here 108, you dont have to be a rocket scientist to know that he's well in if anywhere near his old self. Extra trip wont be a problem having gone close before at 2m5f. Horse: MARTHAS KINSMAN Course: Ludlow Time: 3.00 Yet to recapture his old form but usually comes good this time of year when getting better ground. T.Greenall takes over and this horse has ran better off a higher mark than today although its been off track for a while. First time out for its new yard, this can go close if fit. A bit late to write up but from the RP today "Not to be dismissed lightly here, as she was a Listed winner on the Flat in Scandinavia and went well for a long way on her hurdling debut at Folkestone before tiring on the very holding ground; races will come her way on that evidence." Horse: EKTIMAAL Course: Wolve Time: 4.10 Although WRIT was tipped up last week I think a 6lb penalty for his shd win might just be enough to slow him down so our tentative vote goes to EKTIMAL, only 2lb higher in the weights for his victory at Kempton over this trip and looking for his hat-trick this month.
