This was the first goal of Fw Nelson "Pipino" Cuevas with America. That match was played without MF Cuauthemoc Blanco, which is back for this game, and will be important for the middle field function. America game doesn't like the fans a lot and hope a team with more offensive power and that make most goals, because they barely score 1 goal per match, taking apart Morelia game which last goal fell when America was with more mens on the field. But altough this could be seen as a poor forwards production and it is, the defense has been able to hold and have accept just 1 goal from Tecos UAG, that is just 1 goal accept in three matches showing a great display by the defense, leaded by GK Guillermo Ochoa (which could leave for Europe in this winter market or in june). Coach Luis Fernando Tena continues to show he is a very effective coach, more than spectacular he show in delivering results and if last year was bad, was just because three matches didn't went as plan which where both against Chivas on Playoffs and the game against Barcelona, which was a humiliating 4-0. But in the local tournament they allow few defeats. Tigres UANL Tigres show a great improvement from last tournament, the hand of coach Mario Carillo is seem in the team, which is improving and they start winning against Monterrey with goals of DF Sidney Balderas and MF Walter Gaitan. In the next game show scoring capabilites as the team goes up 2-0, with goals of MF Jaime "Jimmy" Lozano and FW Aldo De Nigris, but the defense didn't hold Cruz Azul forwards and concede the draw. In the last game against Necaxa , the team need the draw or victory to get safely to next round, but the team was unable to score and with a great goal Alfredo Moreno score by Necaxa and leave the faith of the team in Monterrey hands which win to Cruz Azul, and send their archirivals Tigres to this final. Tigres has show important things in this Interliga, their main purpose this season is the avoid relegation, still they will gladly participate on Libertadores Cup, and they are near that, their strong points could be consider the attack and midfield, still after last game it is doubtful as they pick every result possible in Interliga a victory, a draw and a defeat, which doesn't show regularity a team of this size should have done. Is to remark that MF Walter Gaitan is going as substitute in the matches, due to the fact that Carillo nows that when Clausura kicks-off he isn't going to be able to use him during two matches, so in this match I don't think he will vary in that. Their defense came from unbeaten in first match to allow goals in the next two matches. But is remarkable the improvement in that area from last season. In this last match the team align DF Julio Cesar Caseres and he make a good performance. Match: The match will relay on the middle field where as seen both teams are fit and for a good match fighting for the ball in that area, still America is slightly over and could generate more game plays than Tigres. Is to consider Mario Carillo was the last coach to make America champion. So he knows many of the players on the team. Prediction: I don't sense here a easy game for America, which could have most of the scoring possibilities as their midfield is a little more power that those of Tigres, but for this pick I really on defense, which wons championships and so I sense America defense to be more fit and solid.
