General House Rules for Punters Lounge These are the House Rules that apply to any part of Punters Lounge. You will find additional rules for the individual forums further down and on top of each individual forum. After signing up you are welcome to read any thread anywhere on Punters Lounge. Before posting check these rules as well as any rules that apply specifically to the forum in which you wish to post. We are a friendly community and encourage participation, but we must have rules to keep this the best betting forum out there. 1. Pornographic, racist, sexist, sectarian, homophobic, threatening, harassing or obscene messages and/or images are not permitted and will be deleted with a ban placed on the user if necessary. 2. Post in english and conduct yourself in an adult manner. No language that is obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. Having an argument is fine, just don't let it get personal. 3. We encourage members to support each other and not bicker or argue like children. Opinions on posts are encouraged and there will always be differences of opinions as nobody is an expert, but don’t let it snowball into a full blown fisticuffs. We’re all on the same side. 4. If you wish to thank a user, please use the “Thanks” option instead of a one line post as this only dilutes and lengthens threads unnecessarily, making the good info you all post harder to find. 5. Reasoning behind your bets is one of the most important things on Punters Lounge. It’s what has made this site what it is today, it’s how we’ve always done things and we encourage everyone to put reasoning behind their bets. Don’t think “I might sound stupid here”, we’ll take care of anyone hurling abuse, you just put one foot in front of the other. 6. After Eventing – Please do not this as it only gets negative feedback. We’re happy if you’ve won your bet, but if you didn’t post the bet before it kicked off, then please don’t mention it afterwards. However if you did, feel free to fire off a 10 gun salute or something similar. 7. Spam – we have a zero tolerance to any spam and are one of the fastest forums on the net to clean it up. Permanent bans are handed out. 8. Posting links to websites – In general we don’t have a problem, but of course because PL is such a huge traffic website, people try to exploit that and then claim how innocent it was. Well, unauthorised posting of links is spam and are usually posted by the owner or parties involved. Email [email protected] if you wish to request a signature. Rules for all Football Forums Starting of threads is encouraged and you should always start the threads with the odds which should be copied and pasted from www.odds-comparison.co.uk with firefox browser (download here http://www.mozilla.org/products/down...win&lang=en-GB ) making sure it hyperlinks the odds. If you wish to be a regular poster of odds, you will need to ask then we can add you into a usergroup which you can post html in. As the English Premier League Football forum is by far the most popular, we will create a thread for each match and post the odds direct from www.odds-comparison.co.uk For other football forums we will post all the matches in one post with the odds from www.odds-comparison.co.uk We have a specific forum for members not wanting to post reasoning or wanting to get involved in “livescore threads” cheering on their teams, that is here http://forum.punterslounge.com/forum...Livescore-Chat. Posts in the wrong section will be moved to the correct threads by the mods to save clogging up threads and diluting the quality posts.

Quality of posts is something PL is famous for and we want to keep it that way. So please try to give good solid reasoning. Always post with the bookmaker and odds taken, or any of your followers cannot take the same bet as they don’t know where to get it.

Please email [email protected] if you would like this feature. Adding links to posts without having requested permission may be considered spam and removed followed by a ban. No twitter, facebook or other social signatures are allowed. User Privileges - Usage of the PM system: After first signing up a member you cannot use the PM system. The system will become available automatically after having made 50 posts. Usage of the PM system is restricted because of excessive abuse in the past. By using the PM system you accept that messages may be monitored by representatives of Punters Lounge. This is done with the sole purpose of detecting unauthorised usage such as spamming/advertising, phishing, harassment of members,etc... And monitoring is done usually only after a specific complaint has been received. Remember, we are trying to enhance the quality of the forum - the common enemy is the bookmaker!
