Each week, the winner of our qualifying rounds will progress through to a final tournament where at the end, they will get the chance to take part in the Aussie Millions poker tournament in January 2007, where you’ll go head-to-head against other players for a slice of the multi-million dollar prize pool on offer. If you can call Kinghorn’s bluff or beat Micky’s king high, you’ll be in line for a selection of 888.com branded poker-chip sets, while the runners-up can win a superb weekend away for two to watch Sevilla in La Liga action. And now, drum roll please. Ladies and gentlemen and people old enough to enter the talkSPORT online poker tournament, the grand prize, if you can keep a cool head and hold your nerve while others are cracking; a trip to glorious Melbourne, Australia awaits you and a seat at the Aussie Millions - the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest poker tournament - along with a buy in worth $10,000. This great prize also includes flights and 10 nights accomodation for you and one other person lucky enough to be your friend. This is for new accounts only folks, full details on Talksport.net it's registering now. I'm in :nana :ok

Re: Talksport/Pacific Aussie Millions Freeroll Series I qualified for the final last night(980 Entrants), not too sure what the winner actually gets however surley they wouldnt give an entry(worth 10K) plus travel and acomadation to the Aussie Millions away for just a bunch freeroll's would they? If so then its great value as I estimate there will be only 90 qualifiers from the talksport satilites which great value IMO considering there are bunch of runners up prizes too including weekend breaks Seville.

They do :ok Last year I won a very similar event on 888 (Daily Mirror instead of Talk Sport) that gave me a $10,000 seat to the UK Open (filmed in Maidstone - about 7 miles from where I live!!!! 2nd place got a holiday in Vegas!!) But look at the PB page (not up to date) - the vast majority of those top prizes were won in freerolls - you CAN win big through freerolls (and PL proves that time and time again!!! Look at the scroller - Washman won a Poker holiday in India yesterday from a freeroll - Col U has just got back from Singapor (BAPT) - again Freeroll!!) http://www.punterslounge.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23837

Oh great ,The only reason I was slightly sceptic was because these things normally have a catch, but yes your right the PB thread tells it's own story.(you can tell ive only been playing a few months). Thinking about it now I did get a dodgey sounding woman from pacific poker ringing up the other day straight after I registerd trying to get me to deposit money over the phone, thats how they fund it. I would be gratefull for any tips how I should approach the final as It will probally be a better standard than i've faced before.

Re: Talksport/Pacific Aussie Millions Freeroll Series finished 2nd out of 22nd, totaly gutted, 24 entries would have paid for 2 places in the final (valued at $800+60), instead I get the residual cash for second place $610. Still a good result I suppose, but I had a 2 to 1 chip lead when we started heads up at the end, so I feels like a failure right now. Could buy in direct to the final, or there are 2 more sats, might give it another go

Re: Talksport/Pacific Aussie Millions Freeroll Series When they gave me the $610 last night, I got it in Casino chips. Had to walk past the $500 blackjack table on the way to cashier. Was very tempted to go for a single hand double up. But sense prevailed. I could take the $250 from my other poker money, but that's my WSOP qualifying fighting fund. I'll play one $80 qualifier on monday night, if I don't then it's a single hand of $500 blackjack to buy direct in. I want either Aussie Millions or WSOP next year, both would be ideal
