Ran a good 2nd when last seen over hurdles behind a well handicapped horse. Recently won cosily on the flat off top weight and is the one to beat on return to hurdling here with more improvement likely. SportHorse Racing Event3.15 Market Rasen SelectionKings Brook (Each-Way) Strength10/10 Date23/09/2006 Bookmaker/PriceLadbrokes @ SP (Back) ReasoningPreviously looked a frustrating sort until winning last 2 races. Won a very competitive race last time and should go close here on that evidence. Seems to have a new lease of life now held up and Timmy Murphy is the man on hold up horses. Up 10lbs in the weights but is only 6yrs old and more improvement is likely today. The one to beat at a nice price. SportHorse Racing Event4.25 Market Rasen SelectionGranite Man Strength10/10 Date23/09/2006 Bookmaker/PriceLadbrokes @ SP (Back) ReasoningVery lazy horse who needs plenty of driving but does respond to pressure and stays well. Won a weak race last here under Micky Fitz and the pair team up again today. Possibly is quite well handicapped as he only just does enough in his races and has to be the one to beat today in another weak race with conditions to suit. TheRat
Re: Market Rasen 2.10 - Ellerslie Tom EW - 6/1. Chasing a five timer but unproven over this trip, should win this without a problem if takes to it as has a lot of ability, and as can take EW at those odds will do so. Running well recently and looks a worthy favourite today. Up in the handicap again but progressing well enough to defy the raise in weight today. Also a course and distance winner. sensibleboy
Re: Market Rasen LOL, M8, Irish Wolf needs to be driven most the way. Johnson got it up to the front three then put it back on the bridle and it went back the way again, WHY. If it had hit the front with 3 to jump it would not have been passed. Not to mention it staying on again at the finish. Johnson must have been to exhausted to keep going, thats when we need THE MIGHTY MCCOY!
