You need to thank your lucky stars :lol:lol:lol:lol I like the look of Warrington Over 26 points(1.83 Bet365 for a change:eyes ). Already registered points hauls of 24 and 42 in last two encounters. Conditions good today. Good for some tries and it would appear they know the way to the Hull line.

You need to thank your lucky stars :lol:lol:lol:lol That one lost but only just. If Barnett had had that 'try' though. I wasnt on that one though to be honest. I only had my money on the outright, I felt really confident Warrington could do something here. I thought it would be a little more comfortable than it actually was though. henry
Re: Rugby League: Super League - Round 27 It's just a shame we only have a few more rounds of Super League left to go! :( Ive had 2 wins this weekend of 2.3(Warrington) and 4.5(Wakey). I could never back anything at those sort of prices at football with any sort of conviction. Its rarely a draw in Rugby and quite a few of the matches can be a 50-50 call. Im gonna miss superleague.:(

They are the best for rugby league markets I feel but not value as I keep finding.:spank it deffo pays to have accounts with all the main players and check the odds comparison sites. think the 4.5 you took about wakey must have been when some firms had shortened. 6.0 was available through thursday night and 5.0 was available on friday. 10.0 was available on friday ht/ft betfair is value on some markets where there is a lot of liquidity. there is not much for rugby league though and whoever laid your bet was probably arbing. i rarely use betfair for rugby league. excellent liquidity on there for popular football and tennis majors and masters series. hope this is of help to you. :ok
henry
Re: Rugby League: Super League - Round 27 The 4.5 I took was half an hour before kick off. Its kind of a rule of mine. Key conditions such as weather, team selections, Rugbylads analysis( ;) )have to factor into any betting for me. I cant go in too early. Ive been stung in the past. I will inevitably miss out on value sometimes but what im really after is a winner. Value is secondary but it is a consideration. Im not one for short odds betting. Shopping around only comes into play for me in handicap betting where a +4 can make a world of difference from a +2. Ive got accounts with all the big bookies, theyve just lapsed. Betfair and Bet365 are the bookies for me as they offer more markets than any of the others who merely offer handicap and outright markets. I like to look at games from every angle. I like points markets and quite often with Betfair they set their totals below what is offered elsewhere. Betfair also offer their teasers which slash or add 6 points from 2 handicap totals(i.e Wakey +10 becomes Wakey +16 and Saints -10 becomes Saints -4). If only some of the other bookies could throw us some teasers. Id like that.
mearl
Re: Rugby League: Super League - Round 27 understand your point of view henry. i've also been stung before acting impulsively just trying to nick the value. :$ i'm also not into short odds betting, but if you are including 8/11, 5/6 and 10/11, then i'm guilty :loon when you said you only had a couple of accounts, i didn't realise you'd let the others lapse! so that proves that none of them offer the markets that you specialise in. fair play for concentrating on the points totals markets. i have enough difficulty picking winners. :unsure have you ever emailed any firms to ask them to offer more teasers? you never know a couple might even reply. :lol "teaser markets" are great if you have the knowledge as you are more likely to have an edge over the books. i think i've seen you tip betfair teaser markets before. :ok ps don't forget cooper! :D
henry
Re: Rugby League: Super League - Round 27 8/11 is probably as low as Id go, I think. Thats old money innit?:tongue2 1.83 is as low as Id go. Ive gone 1.6 before but that was an absolute certainty:eyes . I dont really concentrate solely on the points market. Id like to be able to just look at handicaps but they arent always easy to call. I need alternatives. PSWhat do you think of the new Henry avatar? Its tenuous but it just might work. henry
Re: Rugby League: Super League - Round 27 Warrington are 100.0 on Betfair for the Super League.:eek Are they really that bad? If they manage to finish 5th and play Bradford. I can see them winning that one being the Bullls bogey team and all. A gather of momentum, they could test Leeds in the next round, thump Hull as last weekend and pip St Helens to the title with a last minute drop goal from Briers. Easy money.:tongue2 Seriously though if Warrington can get 5th place I do see a path to progress. Its so open this year. Aside from Saints there are no real form teams going into the play offs. It looks set for a fairytale. That said I really dont think Salford will be going to the ball.....
henry
Re: Rugby League: Super League - Round 27 I really dont think it is a foregone conclusion that Saints will win Superleague. Hull and maybe Warrington(:unsure ) are the only teams of the play off candidates to consistently give Saints a game. The rest to be honest can forget it. None of the other teams have really shown the know how to beat Saints.
