Re: NCAA Fotball week 1 (aug 30/sep4) Another one for tomorrow: Hawaii @ Alabama My pick: Alabama Alabama sources firmly believe talented soph QB J.P. Wilson will shine right away behind a solidifed OL. Hawaii we also probably crumble in the thick southern heat and humidity during the 2nd half. Bama is on a mission this year and they want to open up with a bang. Bama is loaded on the offensive side of the ball with many returning starters and a running game that is probably the best in the SEC. This will take pressure off new QB Wilson, allowing him to carve up the highly-suspect UH defense. Bama on defensive lead the nation last year with 11 PPG. Hawaii should feel lucky if they can score 11. Bama wins this game in the 2nd half as they will RUN,RUN,RUN and Hawaii won't be able to stop them.

Re: NCAA Fotball week 1 (aug 30/sep4) One risky underdog pick BYU @ Arizona My Pick: BYU +7 (maybe even SU @ +220) BYU may even win the game outright. This game will probably be a shootout, but the better offense will win this game. This line started at 9 and is now sitting at the current 6.5/7. BYU brings back many offense players including NFL prospect QB Beck, he threw for 3709 yards last year. The DL for BYU is the only concern as they are young but believe they will bend and not break. The coaches for BYU know that their defense can´t be on the field all night long so the game plan is short passes and ball control offense to help the defense stay off the field. I kinda see this game as 34-30 type of game but with BYU coming out on top. I'm still looking at a couple more late games too.

Since D is coach Wannstedt´s specialty, expect an all out effort in 1st game of the year. Scouts say Pitt now has enough DL depth to employ liberal rotation whick will wear down VA's OL. Huge edge for Pitt’s savvy sr. QB Palko, who threw for 5459 yards & 41 TDs last 2 seasons. His VA counterpart Olsen attempted only 23 passes during same span. Look for Pitt D to blitz like crazy and confuse VA's QB with a ton of formations. Virginia has also had a lot of turnover in it's coaching ranks--4 new assistants. This will hurt during the 1st half of the season. Pitt is loaded on offense and will take full advantage against young defense of Virginia. Pitt is also 8-2 at home against the spread in their last 10. I don't think I'll be betting on everything I've posted though. I'll try to keep to 4 plays or so. I just put in a small stakes 3 teamer of Ohio State, Penn State and Nebraska just for fun :ok

Kentucky's safeties and corners have a grand total of 3 games started between them. A team that was in the 100's in passing defense will be even worse. Two things will happen; Brian Brohm will shred that secondary, and Bush (another heisman canididate) will become even more dangerous with only 6 or 7 guys in the box. There is a plethora of ways this Louisville team will score points. To put it simply, Louisville kill bad teams at home, and there's no reason for it to stop now. A lot of action on TCU/BAYLOR after this game is over.Gamblers will jump on Louisville game .If u wanna take Louisville do it before the end of the game TCU/BAYLOR. GO Cardinals!!!Cover the spread!!!
