Re: come to belfast?

im looking into hotels at the mo.still trying to decide if we should all try to get into the one hotel or put up a selection and let ppl chose for themselves.so if ppl want to stick up a wee post to let me know what they prefer ill try and get it sorted asap. gambler the poker is being played in yorkgate.its booked an all so can i add you to the list?
I'd say as many into the same hotel as you can, but since you'll never please everyone why not just get 3 quotes and post them here then everyone can make their own minds up.

Re: come to belfast? I think its best to just give the links for hotels, the reason is some people might stay friday night, saturday night and home sunday or come over on saturday stay saturday night home sunday so if we just put up links then u guys can decide what suits ya's:ok

Trouble with that is if you can say to a hotel " I'm booking for xxx guests" you generally get a better a rate than you would booking on your own. I'm not saying that we should all stay in the same place just that if we're willing it might work out cheaper and be better for organisation.

i would do that but it would mean ppl posting that they are deffo coming over and wether they are staying one or two night so i can let the hotel know what was happening.so if you are able to do that let me know asap. also is there anyone else interested in coming over who hasnt posted yet?if so give us a shout.:ok

My intention is to fly over on Friday 1st and back on Monday 4th. So would need hotel for Fri, Sat and Sun nights, all this of course depends on cost. If hotel costs are reasonable then I'll be booking flights asap but don't want to be forking out a fortune on flights because I have to wait until the last minute to book. I know not everyone will be able to say yes or no this early on, but the more who can, the better deal you can organise with the hotels or even the casino. For the same reason (hotel wise) I also think it would be better to get as many people as possible/willing into the same hotel. Judging by the only meet I've been to (Newcastle) and what has been said/posted about other meets most of us will be too pissed to care or notice if the rooms got a sea view(:lol) or the hotel has a 3 star rating. Whatever happens I will be there even if I only fly over say "HI" and come back again but ideally I want to be able to sample many many pints of Murphys and/or Guiness as I possibly can. After all Guiness made the effort to send me a birthday card:D

Re: come to belfast? Has the venue been confirmed yet? I played the £25 freezeout in Bangor with Stevie_P on Wednesday for the first time and I must admit I was really impressed. Professional dealers on every table and an excellent standard. I finished in 7th and won £50. I also hear the Cavendish is opening again soon. Just a thought.

Agree, we need to make sure this stays as a PL tourny with the people playing in it actually being PL regulars. Any other ideas how this could be done would be great :hope What about a one guest max, plus closer to time getting a guest list Name not down ur not getting in type thing. The only thing things i dont want to get bogged down with mini Hitler rules, i just want a good poker tourny with the good folks of PL

Re: come to belfast? I'm In :cow :cow :cow Flights booked... Anyone booked Hotels yet... I'm looking @ Jury's Inn £60 per night. BTW BMI-Baby does a credit card that gets you free return flights on your 1st purchase so might be a way to get over slightly cheaper. Cheers Mike

Prices I posted earlier, the thing is these hotels excluding the Europa r within 100 yards of each other, might be good to try one of the three means everyone is close by.
