A day of beer and gambling for me tomorrow :beer Here's some picks for tomorrow with some brief comments: 2.10 Silence is Golden - Forecast 10/1 Didnt win last year but was consistently in the frame and perhaps unlucky on a couple of occasions. Its last 2 races were in Listed Class A events at Yarmouth and Newmarket when she ran creditably against rivals she was wrong at the weights with. This is only a Class B Handicap and the amateur jockey, although unproven does take 5lb's off which could prove vital. Her form first time out in the last 2 years proves she goes well after a break. 2.40 Anak Pekan - Forecast 5/1 I have picked this mainly because the trainer M Jarvis is in excellent early season form, thus anticipating Anak Pekan will have a fitness edge over some of these. Four-year-olds have a good record in these race, having won the race in the last five years. Due to the stamina emphasis, the last four of those races were won by horses carrying 8-3 or less. Anak Pekan's consistency is reflected in its last 6 placings of 2,2,1,2,2,2. 4.55 Petardias Magic - Forecast 10/1 All its best form is over 6 furlongs which he returns to tomorrow after some average efforts over 1 mile. The horse is rated 77 which is less than its All Weather rating and which i feel is a little on the low side judging by its form in races in June and July of last year. He doesnt like the ground too fast so conditions should be ideal tomorrow.
