Out & About & Ready to Run...

Recommended Posts

Ok here goes... Just an idea to try out and see if it can find some decent priced winners and each-way maggots! The idea is check all the horses due to run on the flat for that days racing and see if they are entered in any other races anytime soon! the theory behind it is that I am hoping that the trainer feels the particular horse chosen, is fit and ready to run a big race. Problem with this is that there could be a few horses who fit the criteria, so I will try and select races were no more than 2 horses maybe entered in any other races anytime soon and pick the value selection! 26th April 2006 selections: 3.30 Epsom Counsel's Opinion - due to run also

28 Apr 2006 1:45 (Four Day) at SANDOWN, Betfred Gordon Richards Stakes (Group 3)
Profit's Reality - due to run also
29 Apr 2006 4:55 (Four Day) at SANDOWN, betfredpoker.com Handicap
Lost his way in the second half of last season and spring does seem to be his time; career-best effort to beat 108-rated Blue Monday off levels last week and, while it wouldn´t do to take that completely at face value, he did well to pick them up off a steady pace; 5lb penalty leaves him 6lb well in compared to when his new mark kicks in at the weekend. Selection: Profit's Reality 8.52 Kempton (AW) weird time! Idle Power - due to run also
27 Apr 2006 6:25 (Four Day) at YARMOUTH, M Brock Limited 15th Anniversary Handicap
Capable sort who handles Polytrack and back to winning ways (had run of race) over 6f on easy ground at Folkestone last time; not without a chance from 3lb lower AW mark. 2 picks for today: PROFIT'S REALITY 3.30 EPSOM each-way IDLE POWER 8.52 KEMPTON each-way :hope

Re: Out & About & Ready to Run... Profit's Reality finished 4th in a very tactical race as nobody was willing to take on Hills' mount and let him dictate the pace until he kicked on. Profit's was being held back by his jockey and ultimately this paid the price, he should have let the horse go, however onwards with this trial. Here's hoping for Idle Power later :hope

Re: Out & About & Ready to Run... Wednesday 27th April 2006 5.55 Yarmouth Atticus Trophies also runs

1 May 2006 2:30 (Five Day) at WINDSOR, attheraces.com Median Auction Maiden Stakes
Eyecatching booking in Dettori, however has not done a jot to make me want to pick this horse. I would normally look to see if the horse is in blinkers or sheepskin pieces and it isn't, so this would have to improve no end to get in the shake up in this, even with the great man Dettori in the saddle! Finsbury also runs
30 Apr 2006 3:55 (Four Day) at BRIGHTON, Beck´s Vier Handicap
Chris Wall is in very good form with 3 winners from his last 9 runners. Finsbury has been favourite on it's last 2 runs, getting no luck in running on both occasions and has only ever been tried on the Wolverhampton equitrack, so there must be a belief that this horse has the potential to win races. George Baker is the only jockey to ever have ridden Finsbury, so a rapport will hopefully have been built. It has a great draw in 12 and with the likely short odds favourite of Stoutes' in the field, we should get value odds. Selection: Finsbury 6.25 Yarmouth Tanforan also runs
1 May 2006 4:40 (Five Day) at WINDSOR, Come Racing Here Every Monday Evening Handicap
Three wins at 7f/1m for Lynda Ramsden but only just touched off on first try at 6f latest for current yard (refitted with blinkers); headgear retained and in good form, however it will need to step up and improve on it's previous efforts. It's last run was good as it just failed to get up over 6F at Redcar against Paris Bell after getting hampered. Up to 7F for this race and with a great up and coming Jockey in James Doyle riding with a featherweight, this should be primed for more improvement and give us a great run. 7.25 Yarmouth Laith also runs
29 Apr 2006 2:30 (Four Day) at RIPON, totescoop6 Handicap
Barry Hills is fairly good form and this horse will have strengthened up over the winter and looks primed to go close on it's seasonal reappearance. It was beaten by Empress Jain on it's last run, however it was off topweight on a stiff mark and gets 6lbs pull on that horse today. It's forecast as the favourite in the Racing Post, however I'm pretty certain it won't go off as favourite and we should get good value in it's odds, before this horse goes on to better things. 3 PICKS FOR TODAY: FINSBURY 5.55 YARMOUTH each-way TANFORAN 6.25 YARMOUTH each-way LAITH 7.25 YARMOUTH each-way :hope

Re: Out & About & Ready to Run... Last picks none in the money! :wall Picks: 5 Placed: 1 Early days I have faith that this method will find some nice priced wins and each-ways - Right time for some tweeking of this idea as it has been a dreadful start - I will concentrate on races no less than Class 5... Warwick 3.25 - Jaad also runs

4 May 2006 8:00 (Four Day) at MUSSELBURGH, Ruk Evening Racing For £60 Handicap
Maiden win last year came on top of the ground, so won´t mind this surface having made his comeback on soft; keen enough at Ripon and yard, having their share of disappointments around that time, back in the usual groove now. Kempton 4.50 - Aastral Magic also runs
2 May 2006 8:24 (Four Day) at KEMPTON (A.W), Sponsor At Kempton Handicap
Improved on her recent first run of the year and kept on well after taking it up around 2f out and just being run down in last 100yds finishing 2nd to Ektishaaf over 7F at Lingfield. Step back to 6F will suit and may be hard to catch this time. Ektishaaf could give this horse's chances a boost as it is engaged earlier in the 2.50 at Warwick. Kempton 5.55 - Waterside also runs
3 May 2006 4:30 (Four Day) at LINGFIELD (A.W), Derek Taylor Birthday Celebration Rose Stakes (Handicap)
From a bang in form yard, he was just run out of it and finished 4th LTO over C/D to Hail The Chief, and had Landucci behind. It will be a bit wiser ridden this time by Seb Sanders and should get in the frame. Landucci also runs
3 May 2006 4:30 (Four Day) at LINGFIELD (A.W), Derek Taylor Birthday Celebration Rose Stakes (Handicap)
but this horse is a Brighton specialist and can't have this one from the last run against Waterside. Todays Picks: Jaad 3.25 Warwick to win Aastral Magic 4.50 Kempton each-way Waterside 5.55 Kempton each-way Regards,

Re: Out & About & Ready to Run... Thanks Ralphie as I said it is an idea/trial and it's early days into the flat season so I was hoping that there may be certain horses who are ready to run a big race and with trainers entering them in multiple races this will hopefully will bear fruit in following...
