Stats & Systems Turf 2006

Recommended Posts

As from Thursday this week, the first day of the TURF season I will be putting up various stats and system selections that have shown success in the past and these will include AGE,GOING, TRAINERS, DISTANCE and the time of the YEAR and much more. Some systems will be explained in full but some will only give the bare details as I wish to keep them to myself and the odd one may not be mine but will have done well in the past. Some of the systems will be updates of systems by me that are already on the forum and they will stay in those threads but with slight adjustments for the TURF season. From Thursday until the end of April will be taking a close look at Fahay,Gosden,Morrison.A.Perret,Mills(had three winners last week) and B Hills and a few more who do well in certain races and courses at this time of year. This thread will be updated the night before when possable and on the day at weekends. The 1st update will be Wend night 22nd March. Re: Stats & Systems Turf 2006 Great Stuff, I've only recently been watching your systems, and my interest is ever increasing. Managed to tag along with the last few days on "The Perfect System" and was well impressed! EDIT=> "The Perfect System" thread is credited to ONEDUNME, I got it mixed with one of %MAN's many great systems! Look forward to seeing what you've got 'in the bag' for this season... ZuluWarrior

Re: Stats & Systems Turf 2006 ZuluWarrior can't hold my hand up to THE PERFECT SYSTEM and someone whose had over 100000 hits must know what he's doing. But I'm sure some of the ones that will be put on this thread will have some success and hope you take a look from time to time. Their will be 2 systems put up for the start of the TURF SEASON and various others systems as the season goes along. Also take a look at my threads on the system & stratagies page as their are some updates on there to. Re: Stats & Systems Turf 2006 Thanks mate It's great when you get feed back from others who use the Forum and like I said before it was the 1st of Feb before I really started with those threads and missed a lot of the jump season. As for THE IDIOTS AND ME SYSTEM December would have done me proud but thats life. Also the weather this year, must have had the longest cold spell for a long time. I think you might like the ones for the TURF SEASON and take a look at the AW system as thats being updated for the flat and should throw up a lot more qualifiers but will stay under that thread. If you ever have any queeries just let me know and I will do my best to help. THE % MAN

Re: Stats & Systems Turf 2006 To save me a bit of time on WEND NIGHT decided to put up the 2 systems that will be used at the start of the flat (TURF ONLY) System 1 HANDICAP FAVS AND CL/STAKES FAVS The basis of this system is to back the fav only when its last run was between 41 and 60 days only and this may not seem logical but for some reason performs well and when ridden by a top jockey even more so. System 2 MORE NEVER RUN THAN RUNNERS. This system is not one of mine but I've improved it and is very good for this time of year and as had a 50% s/rate for last 2 years, 2005 13winners from 25 races in April with SPs at up to 5/1. The basis of this system is to look at races were more horses have not run before than have. Then we select the horse with the shortest tissue price from the Racing Post that has run before providing it is not above 5/1 or the one in the bookies at the off. Also these horses are worth considering when doing the placepot as the ones that get beat a few get a place. THE % MAN

Re: Stats & Systems Turf 2006

Rafferty would qualify for the 5.10 at Southwell on Friday if FAV 41-60 DAYS SYSTEM.
For anybody who likes following systems on a daily basis and uses Adrian Massey's selection I would take a look at the systems I've put up in the Thread Massey Fans His Selections in the Systems & Strategy part of the forum but you will have to find the selections yourself but the full stats to do this are provided. Re: Stats & Systems Turf 2006

Although this race is an AW race it should work for the 2.10 Kempton URBAN WARRIOR OR SAD TIMES 1pt win on the one that is the shortest SP but must be 5/1 or less or no bet
Also the 4.10 K as to horses that ran 47 days ago and there must be a chance 1 will be FAV and even though an aw race the system should still work FAJR 4.10K FAREWELL GIFT 4.10K If not fav no bet.

Re: Stats & Systems Turf 2006

NO QUALIFIERS TOMORROW :zzz May be of interest Mrs C Dunnett as had 4 winners from 12 runners in M/April at this course with runners tomorrow.
She had 8 runners at the course today 1winner 33/1 and a 2nd at 100/1 and If any trainers stand out like she did today they will be pointed out like todays was. If you get the r/post they give the stats for each trainer at the course but were the fault lies with these stats it's for the seasons at that course,if you looked at hers today she was the 2nd best trainer at the course but her overall % was no were near the 33% she had for M/April so she was worth a look today. This applies to a lot of trainers and care should be taken when considering those stats at face value but is another tool to finding winners if you use those stats on a monthly basis for the course he's runner his horses at that time of year. Re: Stats & Systems Turf 2006 Hi,Hope this is the right place to put this?. Has anyone used this system of rating.I used to use it years ago using the Daily Mirror as it was clear to see.It gave mixed results but I was not useing any filters, type of race etc. The total points that any horse could acheve was 13,which was for winning the last 2 starts over course and distance. It was quick to rate a race but I wonder if the results would have been better if filters of some sort had been applied.Just wondered if it was still around and being used with any success?. 1st=5 points 2nd=3 points 3rd=2 points 4th=1 point couse/distance win = 3 points distance win = 1point

Re: Stats & Systems Turf 2006 HI pab The system you metion was one devised by C HOLT and if you bought is book this is how you would assess is ratings and the one with the highest rating in each race was the one you backed and if it had 2 wins and a CD winner he would class that as a maximum bet. This as been round for many years and how successful it's you would have to keep records but I think his maximum bets do ok over a period of time. If you use this system and it shows a long time profit keep following it. The down side to this simple idea is it's last 2 wins could be in a different class than the one you are rating, but if you make sure its last 2 ratings are in the same type of race as todays race you may have more winners. If you backed all horses that had won their last 2 races only 6493 bets 1322 wins and a ROI of 83.3% which is -16.7% loss. 2 wins and cd winner 1342/332 with a ROI 94.3% a loss of 5.7%. I hope this may be of interest to you and give you some stats that dont look to good if you backed them to the points system you mentioned. THE % MAN
