Champion Hurdle

Recommended Posts

just think the championship races are worthy of a thread of thier own. what does everyone think will happen, this is my interpretation: Likely front runners The french furze & Admiral to take the pace along at a very quick gallop, intersky Falcon & hardy Eustace just sitting off the pace with Asain Maze, Brave Inca, Penzance in mid division, with the rest held up. the two front runners leading until they come down the hill when the speed of the race catches up & Brave Inca, hardy & Asian Maze start to make thier move, Al eile, Macs Joy & Arcalis still held up but making decent progress past the early pacesetters. Coming to 2 out, it's hardy & brave Inca doing battle with Asian slightly outpaced at this point & Macs Joy coming alongsides from a way back , Al Eile & Arcalis waiting to challenge, coming to the last Hardy takes a big un & sets off up the hill with the fast finishing Arcalis & Al eile taking off after him. Brave Inca staying on gamely under a typical McCoy drive & getting back into it. Macs Joy has ran its race & fades. On the run in, Hardy just holds off Arcalis is a tight finish for a historic 3rd win on the trot!!:hope Brave Inca gets back up to be 3rd with Al Eile 4th. Well who knows!! I really just think that Hardy has all the credentials to achieve this feat.

Re: Champion Hurdle 3.15 - Arcalis 13/2 Won the Supreme Novices hurdle last year on Good Ground which gives us peace of mind that Course and ground will suit him tomorrow. The change in ground conditions today makes him a major player in my eyes and i think he can keep up the 6 year olds impressive record in this race. His last run was a concern but it was run in desperate conditions and i think we can ignore it. I think on a sounder surface he will prove to have more pace than Brave Inca in the final straight and snatch it. On a softer surface i would have to favour the favourite though. I cant have Hardy on his last run, with no real excuse being offered. His age group have a poor record in the race too. Mac's Joy looks held by Brave Inca on recent form and the favourite is proven on the course. Mac's Joy perhaps isnt yet.
