Re: Pebble Beach Three bets for me, nothing outright as its a tough one. Aaron Oberholser is playing great golf at the moment and aswell as finishing high up last year he played well last week to show he's in form. He's matched up against Parnevic and i'm willing to take him on. I know Jesper has improved this year but has been on the go for weeks now and has looked a little wearie when finishing his tornaments, this time it might be the time to go against him. 10pts 1.85 @ Betdaq Top European market is interesting this week, Chopra came good for me last at 25/1 E/W and is the same price this week despite making the cut every time he plays recently. Only 12's at Paddy's and thats more realistic. Must be worth a punt at 25's. Henrik Bjornstad has made a great start to his season on the PGA Tour, finished well last week and can be followed while in this form, available at 16/1 with SJ a good EW bet. The European contingent is very weak this week with Donald fav ahead of Olazabal, Parnevic and McGinlay. Wouldnt want to be with any of them at the prices on offer. 2pts EW Top Euro Player D Chopra 25/1 H Bjornstad 16/1 both Stan James.

Agree with this, he's got good form in this tourny - but I think I'd rather be on Oberholser Top 10 Finish @ 3.80 Stan James :eek

Re: Pebble Beach A wide open field for me and at the top of the betting is Phil Mickleson as you'd expect but he's not worthy of suc a low price. Plenty of value in the field and I like to go with players who have a good records in the tournament / courses as this is split over 3 courses. Canadian Mike Weir is my pick, he's gone well of late here finishing the top 5 on the last 3 occasions and finished runner up to Mickleson last year. He has also finished in the top 10 on 2 of the other 3 occasions and as you can see has a mighty fine record here. Mike Weir 2pts each way @ 34.0 vcbet

Re: Pebble Beach

Im looking at the match bets for pebble on betfair am I correct that the bets only run for the 1st 2 rounds?
Matchbets are for the whole tournament Seve. My selections are: 2 pts e/w M weir 33 @ expekt Has had 5 top 10's here in last 6 starts and his recent record here reads: 2005 2nd 2004 4th 2003 3rd His recent form is a bit hit and miss but he finished 5th in the Bob Hope a few weeks back. 1 pt e/w T Clark 26 @ stanjames In his two completed outings here he has finished tied 4th last year and tied 10th in 2003. He finished 10th in the Buick Invitational a couple of weaks ago, and with his good driving accuracy and greens in regulation he will fancy his chances. 2pts P Goydos to finish in top 10 (15@stanjames) A good value punt as in his last 3 starts here he has finished tied 4th, 13th & 8th where only one round has been over par. He is a born and bred californian and so should get good local support. Oberholser looks a good price for a top 10 too. 6pts L Donald to bt Di Marco - match bet 2@totalbet Donald has finished tied 11th & tied 17th here, while Di Marco is not a big fan of this pro-am event and has only taken part here 4 times, consisting of tied 18th, 63rd and two missed cuts. Also head to head over last 12 months is 6-1-1 in Donalds favour. 7pts Atwal to bt Senden - match bet 1.8@sportingodds Atwal has finished tied 16th in 2005 and 21st in 2004 in this event. He finished 4th in the Buick Invitational a few weeks ago. Senden's highest finish in this event was tied 39th on his debut in 2002. Last year he finished back in tied 62nd.

Weir has one of the best Pebble records around – top four the last three years and top eight in five of the last six. But as winbet stated the Canadian is a bit hit and miss these days as the confidence that took him to Masters glory has dissapeared. But with the fifth place at the Hope there could be signs of him coming back. At 33's could be worth a e/w bet!

Re: Pebble Beach Just to cover myself as I said I wouldn't i'm going to lay Mike Weir off to win the Pebble Beach classic with betfair @ 1.90!! Hypocrite I hear you cry! He's tied at the top with Arron Oberholser and for me it could go wither way tonight, Oberholser has impressed me as the week has gone on and maybe Mike Weir has peaked too early? He was a bit wobbly in Saturday's 3rd round but did come strong towards the end of the round. Mike Weir lay 10pts @ 1.9 betfair
