Quite a few barking dogs I like tonight after being quiet for a few days. We'll see;) YTD 52-58-1, +10.88, +6.53% yield;) Philly (ML) to bt BUFFALO @ 2.40 - 1 PT *B365* Buffalo playing their first homer after a 6-game road trip - a nice letdown situation. Phi 17-8 on the road (inc. 10-3 in L13 aways), Buf 15-9 @ home. Both teams 3-2 L5. H2Hs at Buf read 1-0-1 for Buf in L3 seasons and 14-10-2 for Buf since 96, but Philly are 25-23-2 overall since 96 and are to revenge the loss from an earlier game this season. 2.40 is way too much given the circumstances. Re: NHL 2/2 Thu NYI (ML) to bt NYR @ 2.10 - 1 PT *Ladbrokes* Well, Pinnacle going 2.09 so no need to panic about the usual "Laddies are too shrewd to offer such a price for nothing". Imo, it's a bit of overreaction in a derby game which is more a flop of a coin, although NYR have been on top more often than not lately (excluding this season though). There is very little to chose between the teams and Yashin on his night can more than match Jagr and the team usually follows (this is where the main NYI's ache rests - he's "on" even less frequently than Henry @ Arsenal;)). NYR 13-12 on the road v NYI's 12-13 @ home. Both teams 3-2 in L5. NYI coming off three consecutive wins, NYR's pattern is interesting for lovers of easy predictions - WLWLW?. H2Hs 4-1 in NYR's favour L3 seasons and 14-6-2 since 96 - all @ the Islanders. But this seaosn it reads 2-2 with 1-1 split at either arena.
