georgej
I just came across this article http://www.gg.com/v1/news/news_page.php?article=8096 from 2004 saying how SP is no longer calculated from on-course books. As a newbie i was trying to read up on various things and this was the first time i saw this mentioned. As it appears the new system takes an average of 9 online book prices, does anyone know if this system is available to punters online or if there is a anything out there that will give you an approximation of what the SP is at any given time? This would help when i am looking to back horses in a race, but do not want to go below a certain SP when betting on trends. thanks George
FleetFanatic
Re: Approximating SP ? The problem is that the online bookies all show the same price in the run up to a race. I'd love to see the variations and grab a better price. I suspect it may not be possible.
