NHL 28/01 Sat - Early games (!)

Recommended Posts

YTD 51-55-0, +11.62 pts, +7.24%wink2.gif All of my fancies are teams involved in early games (7 pm GMT start). TB (ML) to bt PHILLY @ 2.13 - 2 PTS *Pinnacle* TB 13-13 on the road, Phi 14-12 @ home. Recent form - TB 4-1, while Philly 2-3 - and those two wins were B2Bs against poor Pittsburgh. In fact, these were the only wins in L7 games, so Philly are certainly not in the best vein of form. On the other hand, TB lost narrowly to Florida two games ago but bounced back by beating red-hot NJ. The Lightning also won both H2Hs this season (home and away) and are 4-2-0 @ Philly L3 seasons and 10-3 overall in this fixture in L3 seasons. Detroit (ML) to bt DALLAS @ 2.10 - 1 PT *Ladbrokes* Bookies just can't decide who's the favourite in this match. Pinnacle going about 1.95 on both, some books are favouring Dallas and some Detroit. @ 2.10 Detroit are just too high not to pull the trigger. Det 16-7 on the road, Dal 16-11 @ home. Form L5 3-2 both teams - Detroit won four on the trot, lost two consecutive then and bounced back with a win in the last one. Dallas lost three on the trot which was followed by three consecutive wins. each of two encounters this season was won by a road team and Detroit are 2-0-1 @ Dallas L3 seasons and 4-1-1 overall L3 seasons. Pittsburgh +1.5 pucks to bt NYR @ 2.12 - 1 PT *Pinnacle* Oh and ah I can hear, but this pick is not such a no-chancer as it might seem. Well. the Pens are 5-20 on the road and the Rangers are 15-10 @ home, the Pens are 1-4 L5 while the Rangers are 3-2. BUT we don't need the Pens to win, but to lose by a single goal. And they lost only 3 out of L6 losses by more than one goal (and beat Washington 8-1 in the meantime as well). NYR won only twice out of L4 wins by more than one goal (with three losses in the meantime, incl. the one at lowly Columbus). The H2Hs this season - Pitt by one, NYR by five, Rangers by one, Pittsburgh by one and Rangers by two - so only twice out of five encounters this bet would have been a loser - and in none of the games played @ New York (there were two of them, each won by a different team and each saw a single goal margin win). Add to this Jagr is struggling a little bit with flue and refuses to take any pills as he fears the anti-dope checks might find something which is the last thing he would like to experience before the Olympics (and I think he also fears much stricker anti-dope checks @ the Olympics). This may potentially lower NYR's firepower as well.
