best Mate is back on Tuesday (Exe @ 2.40) and based on stats an e/w bet looks a steal @ F/C 7/1. Never finished worse than second (21 runs - 14 wins - 7 seconds). The only worry is the jock who's never rode him (why J. Culotty is not chosen here?) and a slight worry is a long layoff after braking the blood vessel just before the festival. No mugs in the field either- incl. Kauto Star (fav), Ashley Brook and Contraband. Will chew this over a bit before making my mind up.;)
