Not a bad day Yesterday with 3 from 6 @ 4/1 twice and 1/3. The big disappointment was the run by the nap who jumped like a pig. 430 Beverley ~ TSARBUCK hacked up over 7f @ Southwell last time out after being highly tried in D rated Maidens. Banded races look ideal for it right now and with further improvement probable it should be followed in this class especially with just a 6lb penalty. The form looks more solid to Me than that of A Bit Of Fun who was also a easy winner last time out. (Win) 350 Carlisle ~ HEARTHSTEAD makes a quick reappearance after a too bad to be true run just 9 days ago. Interesting that Today its upped from 8f to 12f and when Mark Johnston does that it usually transforms a horse. Its top rated here by 8lb+ from the rest of the field but is favoured by the weights in this Claimer. Im very hopeful of this one. (Win Nap) 410 Leicester ~ MAN OF LETTERS is another Mark Johnston horse upped in trip this time from 7f to 10f. It won its Maiden last time out over an inadequate 7f by 2ls but this progressive 3 year old promises to be much better in my eyes over this longer trip. (Win Nb) 800 Thirsk ~ MUTAMARED toffy nosed Marcus Tregoning has had 6 winners from his last 17 runners (35%) and with his team in such great heart Im hopeful that this horse can improve on some fair runs last season now its strengthened up and filled out. (Win) All the best Tankyman
