Carl
THURSDAY'S SELECTIONS: BRIGHTON: 2.20 Assumption, 2.50 Red Pride, 3.25 Sophist, 3.55 Jamaaron, 4.30 Yashin, 5.00 Sea Map, 5.30 Go Mo. HAYDOCK: 2.00 Mr Twins, 2.30 Crow Wood, 3.00 POLISHED (NAP), 3.35 Brooklyn Brownie, 4.05 Madge, 4.40 Jungle Jinks, 5.10 It´s No Easy. LUDLOW: 2.10 Dante's Battle, 2.40 Valance, 3.15 Kristinor, 3.45 Goodman Again, 4.20 Critical Stage, 4.50 Welsh Man, 5.20 Astyanax. DOUBLE: Polished and Critical Stage. Polished can add extra sheen to his promising season with another success as jumping returns for the winter at Haydock on Thursday. It will be only his fourth start for Victor Dartnall since leaving Richard Guest, but the six-year-old evidently likes life in the West Country, as he has won twice for his new handler. Polished seems to be switched between hurdles and fences at regular intervals, but he is sticking for the larger obstacles in the Manson Insurance Group Handicap Chase having also won over fences at Uttoxeter last week. He was a comfortable victor over another promising youngster in Va Vavoom and is a really in-form horse who can defy his penalty. Brooklyn Brownie should had thrived during his end-of-summer break and can make a winning return to action in the jmc.it Handicap Hurdle. The six-year-old was last seen scoring at Perth in July and amazingly arrives at the Merseyside track on the same handicap mark. Malcolm Jefferson's charge was not at his best when having to be driven out to beat the much inferior One Of Them on his most recent outing, but his trainer put that down to him having two quick runs in the hot weather. Brooklyn Brownie had previously finished runner-up to some smart types having ran out a convincing 24-length winner at Bangor and he should be in the mix on his return after a break. Critical Stage will count himself unlucky to have come up against the useful Monticelli last time but was not disgraced and can get it right in the October Handicap Hurdle at Ludlow. Jimmy Frost's charge had rather gone off the boil since last winter when he chased home the likes of Marcel and Penzance as well as winning once himself. His latest run at Newton Abbot in August suggested he was coming back to some fair form and Frost has found a good opportunity. does anyone follow this on http://www.sportinglife.com/racing/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=betting/05/10/19/manual_095725.html he did pretty well yesterday amongst others he was spot on about RUSTLER in the 5'o'clock at BATH it started at 8/1 backed into 4/1. Lets see how good he is today?
