A very good morning all.

No joy whatsoever yesterday and looking at the three jumps meetings today a wise man would be keeping his cash firmly in his wallet as in general it is awful from a betting point of view (only in my opinion).

Unfortunately, I am not quite a wise enough man to follow my own advice in this case and there is one race today that fascinates me.

The only race of interest for me today comes over in Ireland at Fairyhouse in the 2.25, a six runner affair which sees the possibly progressive Puturhandstogether a warm order favourite this morning.

Rightly so given connections (J P Mcmanus) and the ever improving trainer Joseph O'Brien and would I be surprised were this to hose up. Quite simply, no. But then would I be surprised to see any of the six win this race either, again no. 

The only one of the six that has any sort of form on the heavy testing ground there today is Whimsy, who was placed a few times on the flat on heavy ground and would have some sort of squeak today if reproducing the form of her penultimate run.

As is always my will in trying to find some sort of value I will chance one against the well backed favourite today as the day would hold very little interest for me otherwise. In all fairness Collaborative has a lot against it including mainly a drop down in trip which may well not suit and most importantly the ground which it as yet has no real form on.

What I do like about this one is it's mark today for this contest, and before getting it's head in front last time out (granted over a longer trip) it had previously been beaten in fairly big runner contests when giving lots of weight to it's conqueror's. Of it's two runs on testing (soft to heavy ground) it was an eyecatcher in it's very first run a bumper contest, when 4th of 20 on soft to heavy ground so there is a squeak it may handle the ground today. Two of his last three runs were basically over today's trip and as already mentioned he was not beaten a million miles giving lots of weight. 

Probably unwise but I will risk him today as I can see little else to go at from a betting point of view:
