On outside 4 draws ... So it's definitely an advantage to be drawn 7 or greater .....the further out you are the better your chances of running to your mark so stall 11 looks a fab draw ....doesn't mean you can't win from lower draws ....just means there's a definite 15 to 20% bonus to ratings on outside draws and as ancient wisdom was rated 2nd on my ratings that now puts him top .....will be interesting to see what happens now Edited May 30 by richard-westwood Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MCLARKE Posted May 30 Share Posted May 30 The draw is the strongest stat for me, In the last 10 years there has been just 1 winner from the first 6 stalls, from 59 attempts. All the winners have come from stalls 7 to 14. Actually the strongest stat is racecard number, with only 2 winners from 85 runners being racecard numbers 7 or above compared to 8 from 60 being number 6 or below. Since most of the horses carry the same weight this means you need to have a name in the lower half of the alphabet ! Auguste Rodine last year, Desert Crown the year before, Adayay the year before right back to Australia 10 years ago.
