Turin mascot

Packing hurricane

Both win

Only a seven runner handicap and a chance hopefully for the top weight to continue his good run of form.

Shawnee warrior was two wins from three runs for David O'Merea in the UK.

Now called packing hurricane.

He has just rattled up a three timer and Harry Bentley rides him again.

Turin mascot an Irish horse has found his feet since coming over and his three wins in Ireland over a mile sees him step up in trip here.

Zac Purton who has won his last four races landed a five timer on Sunday at Sha Tin.

A stunning race won by a supremely confident jockey.

Made a decisive sweep through on the home turn and went three clear. Given this horse was sailing into new territory, it was a crucial move and although headed the Irish horse got up on the line to win.

I wish Purton would come to the UK for ascot, he'd have a field day.

One thing I picked up was a stall handler using a mobile device as he was leading horse number six into the stalls. Can't be legal and that horse was prominent and impeded another badly on the first turn.  (Above) above recovered to beat my other selection on the bob for third. All rather Dick Francis I know, but that is how it happens.

Happy valley

1215

Last visit to Hong Kong.

Classic Archie

Each way

Multiple maiden but dropping mark and literally knocking on the door.

Sunny Baby

Win

Progressive young horse and  in form jockey on board obvious chance.

Was expecting a bigger price for classic Archie both win

I wasn't going past the second race here but touched off the last twice.

Happy valley

Dazzling fellow

Turquoise Alpha

Both each way

TA won on 24 June last year when called Edward Hopper at Naas.

Has also won twice on the rock including a first all weather win.

Dazzling fellow unshipped his jockey at the start last time and the horse enjoyed a free run without a jockey. Was a short head second prior to that and was raised two pounds. So has raced several stone light now and should strip fitter now....

Turquoise Alpha won as horses do, on their win anniversaries. A nice big price too.

Dazzling fellow ran easily his best race and was rather unlucky, boxed in on the rail as horses packed the center of the track. He was prominent throughout and just got caught in what normally is a good place to be, but horses are sweeping through the centre today. Definitely showed the benefit of a free riderless run and I can put happy valley to bed now....

4.20 Carlisle

Graces quest

Each way

The runners are a long way from the stalls for whatever reason so the start will be delayed.....

Graces quest gets a handy pull from the penalised gibside and may reverse places.... Well drawn...

Naas 4.55

ASEAN (win)

Ascendent

Scorchio

Combination trifecta

Combination forecast

All have very strong claims here.

Their stalls cover most of the field stall 2,6, and 13.....

Although he has no form in this race unlike his brother, Donnachas ASEAN (win) has very good form going to the runner up at Royal Ascot...

Naas 7.30

Touching Clouds

Win

Can hopefully make a statement for winning Royal Ascot trainer Dermot weld.

Big baby bull is reopposing on ten pounds worse. Touching clouds dam won here.

Seven pound claimer rides a horse who who was touched off under Chris Hayes last time out and has gone up two pounds so should be well in here.

Naas 8pm

Joseph O'Brien won this race with 40/1 shot

Didnthavethatmuchtodo for the same owner last year.

Jeaniemacaroney

Each way

Is again an unfancied runner but has already won a barrier trial. Didn't impress when third on debut but comes here significantly in my opinion.

*********************************

Ended the thread with my poorest selection in Ireland for a while.

Began well with two Hong Kong winners.

Turquoise Alpha 18/1

Turin mascot 4/1

Mostawaa   15/2 ( Hugh Taylor thread)

Two placed runners

Graces Quest

Empress of beauty

Far from satisfied with the selections today.
