This was an unraced horse, and it seems to have been backed heavily during the day (apparently for a good reason!). More often than not, I take the best early price at the time I post, but sometimes take starting price if I think this might be bigger (though often I get that wrong). Usually the difference is not as big as this, though! You can see how the price at various bookies changed during the day if you look for the race at oddschecker.com, click on "view full pre-race odds" and then the name of the horse. SLH
Re: EW Double System How to be doubles at WH? AC, AD, BC, BD. Nothing else is possible... BTW Sean Graham has Valerun at 12/1 so AF double should be acceptable. Unfortunately, I have placed a single bet on Ballyhurry @4.33 with SG so my limit on Ballyhurry is zero and I do not guarantee anything. Just give it a try! slapdash
Re: EW Double System Because I was taking the early prices on these, the doubles would only have been possible at these prices if I'd found the same bookie offering the best price both on Ballyhurry and the other horses. But William Hill had lower prices on the horses in the 4.15 race, unfortunately.
