Seeking Suggestions for Football Match API History

Recommended Posts

Hello PuntersLounge Community,

I'm delighted to join this amazing forum, and I'm excited to interact and learn from all of you.

Recently, I read an enlightening article on BetAdvisorZone that has inspired me to delve deeper into the realm of football data analysis. The article emphasized the potential of using data to unlock successful betting strategies and I'm eager to explore this further.

To initiate my journey, I'm looking for a reliable API that provides historical data for football matches. Ideally, this API should cover:

Detailed match statistics (possession, shots on target, corners, etc.)
Individual player statistics (goals, assists, passes, etc.)
Comprehensive team statistics (wins, losses, goals scored, etc.)
The depth and breadth of the data will be crucial for my analysis.

Considering the wealth of knowledge in this forum, I'm sure some of you have ventured into this territory before. I would be truly grateful if you could share your experiences and guide me in the right direction. Recommendations for reliable APIs that provide such data would be much appreciated.

I'm eager to kick off this exciting project and look forward to your helpful suggestions. Thank you for your time and assistance!

I have recently created a site that allows people to receive, for free, an Excel spreadsheet with the pre-match stats for the day's football fixtures.
It covers 50 leagues from around the world and includes 158 data points. The file is sent directly to people's inbox each day (and via telegram/discord).
Check it out. Just go to prematchstats.com and sign up. It's completely free, I'm currently building the historical database so backtesting can be peformed.
Kind regards
