Interesting runner on a very poor Monday's racing is Flight Commander. He has his first run for Olly Murphy and the 9yo is ridden by Richard Johnson for the first time.
Oliver Sherwood had him last season and they tried blinkers and cheek pieces and although he ran quite respectably he just wasn't doing enough to win his races. He has now had a wind operation and the tongue strap has been fitted. This looks a winnable race and if all of the changes have worked he should be thereabouts and if nothing else worth watching.

I didn't see an awful lot wrong with DELFACE'S 3rd behind two well handicapped horses at Uttoxeter 9 days ago.
Tending to over race in a race run at a dawdling pace,the selection was outpaced turning in before staying on well late in the day and would have nabbed second in another couple of strides.
Down two pounds here in a slightly weaker looking race,David Pipe's five year old is well worthy of consideration in an open looking race.

Formerly a useful bumper horse CONSTANTE VIA put behind her some disappointing efforts over hurdles when a promising looking 3rd at this venue earlier in the month.
Coming back from a 238 day break and with the tongue tie added for the first time,the selection found the two and a half mile trip on the short side, doing all of her best work in the closing stages without ever quite getting on terms with the leading pair.
Upped half a mile now,this stamina test looks right up her street and the Twiston-Davies trained seven year old will have no excuses fitness wise this time.
