Cheltenham

First of three days at Cheltenham and a fair card to kick things off. No real stars on show but one or two interesting races to look at.
I like the novice chases around here and the 2.25 has seven lovely youngsters and you wouldn't be surprised if any of them acme out on top. Nicky Henderson has two runners in Jenkins and likely favourite Mr Whipped. The latter won three races over hurdles before pulling up in the Albert Bartlett.
Both Jerrysback and White Moon makes comebacks after a break so maybe best watched here so I think the recent Carlisle winner Count Meribel might be the one for today. He jumped really well on his debut and showed last season that he was ready early and will be fitter than most.

On the face of it this looks a competitive enough contest but at the prices MAJDOOL will do for me.
Trainer Noel Wilson seems to have found the key to his five year old gelding as the selection surpassed all previous efforts when winning over this course and distance just ten days ago.A quick return to the venue suggests that the trainer wants to make hay while the sun shines...

UNIVERSAL COMMAND (N.B) - 11/8 Hills

This looks a race lacking in depth and it's hard to look beyond UNIVERSAL COMMAND who should be up to taking this.
The selection wasn't given the most inspired of rides when a promising 3rd in a handicap here late last month,but was most probably "looked after" given it was the geldings first run for 381 days.Better can be expected now...
