Decent card at Carlisle on Sunday and plenty of Southern trainers making the journey up the M6. Cyrname looks interesting in the Listed Chase, making his seasonal debut after 206 days off.
He was operating at the top level of novice chases last season and won a pair of Grade 2 contests. He ended up 4th at Aintree when well backed for a Grade 1 race so he really should be up to taking this. He was 2/1 that day to beat Finnians Oscar and Co. so his price here looks fair enough to me.

A very competitive handicap hurdle for this time of year can go to SPIN THE COIN in the hands of Brian Hughes.
 

The selection looked all over the winner when falling at the last here when last seen (on heavy ground) back in March. Given that,that was a much improved effort on anything shown previously, added to the fact the gelding is still very lightly raced,it's hard not to come to the conclusion that there is likely to be much better to come.

Off a mark of 104 his shrewd handler could have got in lightly here and he can take this on his way to better things..
